Man oh man what an exhausting weekend...

 

And I always thought my need to always move around at the worst times, especially my legs when I need to sleep, was Restless Leg Syndrome...

And that's the end of my weekend, probably won't get another long weekend until february now. Or a normal sized weekend..

 

I'm really annoyed with this weather, it's raining hardcore and my sinuses are kicking my ass.
My stomach hurts from how much drainage has gone into it...trying to cure that with some ginger ale, we'll see how that goes.

 

That was me between 2007-2011 or so on FFXI. Dark times? Sort of. I didn't actually have anything better to do. It filled a social and achievement void. I met a lot of friends, and was one of the most talented and knowledgeable players on the server (I was no "Avesta," but red mages were dirty hackers .) If I *wasn't* playing the game, I don't think I would have done anything productive anyway (probably would have been madly depressed.) Better options, time-wise, seemed limited.

Go head and play, but keep your eyes peeled for real-world opportunity. I don't know what you want to do, but don't abandon life.

I haven't payed any attention to this, but that is very unlikely. FFXI servers, from 2002, are still running. FFXIV has also been wildly successful compared to most MMO releases. It would be silly to drop a cash cow.
Also, it seems to be an ARPG, not an MMO. Very different. You could argue discontinuing one MMO for another; they tried something similar with the release of FFXIV when they began consolidating FFXI servers. After the disaster of FFXIV's initial release, they aren't likely to count their chickens early again.

 

Time is dragging by in the office today. So sluggish. Don't want to do anything. At least I have trap music and goth jazz.

 

Music helps get me through the day as well. Music, movement, and my wonderful coworkers (most of them >_>.) Manual labor jobs are nice in that you can kind of get into a flow state to make it somewhat enjoyable.

 

I gave reluctantly emerged from the geek cave to attend classes.....been binge watching soul eater.

 

wait a minute, I've seen this... did you link this to me before? I can't remember! If not that's a hell of a coincidence.

 

I do believe this is the first time I have seen this. Though I do have a terrible memory. But something as nice as this I would surely remember.

 

Likewise, I've not paid attention to Final Fantasy as a whole outside of trying FFVII on Steam out of curiosity, and FFXIV because a friend and her friends played it. I had thought I read *more than one article* mentioning they had announced plans to do so.

Is it wrong I picture a room full of people dressed in typical goth fashion, all with jazz hands going as someone plays a saxophone made of bones?

 

Someone has to do that now. For sheer hilarity.

 

Never heard of it either so I youtubed it. I like some of it. It's mostly something I'd like to listen to all day if I worked a retail store like Hot Topic or something. Except, you know, retail work absolutely blows.
Trap music... never heard of either but the subject matter does not interest me. Heavy bass lines and the synthesizers are cool. I think I'll take the goth jazz though.
