What Is On Your Mind?

I don't think there is such a thing as a weekend anymore as shops are open all the time now. Weekends used to be when the stores would close early on Saturday and not at all on Sunday.

 

At least less weekends. It's all about the costumer though, if they want to shop on the weekends the store has to follow.

 

But in the past food and such didn't need to be accessed 24/7 so why does it now?

 

My mood is still hovering...

 

Beats me. I work in a store that sells tableware, decorations, things for the kitchen and things like that and we're open on christmas eve. Why? Because people will be there wanting to buy things.

 

Everyone runs on different schedules. For some people, the weekend is the best / only time for them to run to the store. Why would a business turn down customers and arbitrarily close for 2 days a week?

I could see an argument being made for closing a small / specialty shop on weekends, but a grocery store? Food will always sell, so they stay open.

 

Ah yes, that's true. Didn't really put that into account.

 

Starting to really hate my laptop again. Can you please just run the damn mods.

 

Hell i take out my phone and post on here in the middle of meetings and shit.

 

Nope. Can't do that either.
I do not get bored easily, and when I do, I use that time to think. I like being fully aware of my surroundings. I could never use internet on my phone.

I only use my phone. Dont own a computer.

 

To be fair, the only times I use my phone's data, really, are for when I need to look up important information right then and there, or to use my internet radio app (which is far less data hungry than streaming Youtube, and obviously you can cross the street while doing the former but not the latter....that and I just usually don't care about YT.)

 

Hell i love it. With my phone i can hop on, look around real quick, then phone goes back in the pocket and i go on with what im doing. It would suck having to sit down and stay in one spot just to use the internet. Or have to have and unweildy brick in your lap.

 

I can see things better on my laptop and it is light. Plus my laptop will go faster than your phone as far as processing speed goes.

 

Yeah but its fast enough for me.

 

Eh. Different strokes for different folks.
If I'm out in public, and bored, I'd rather strike up a conversation, make someone smile, and try to make the world a warmer place. It freaks me out when I see a bus load of people sitting in isolated seats on their devices.
For me, there's a time and place for social media, and there's a time and place for being real life social.

true. I just prefer to keep to myself. I work with other people everyday, so whatever down time is best spent with my own thoughts

 

I am introverted myself and if I am busy with something, vest not to approach if I am really focused.

 

Well, I'd never like...annoy someone who was clearly busy lol.
I just think this world could use a bit more connection face to face. It's becoming quite cold. I want to make a difference.
