Fun thing was their hypocrisy. They were very quick to say that my criticisms were "passive aggressive" (not my fault I was trying to voice disapproval without getting myself banned for hostility...), but were very quick to be passive aggressive about the fact they didn't want anyone criticizing the owner, even when everyone later agreed they were glad he stepped down.

No, mom, LOCAL Area Network sessions are not going to use up the data cap, unless Hughesnet set up their gateway box to reroute any such traffic through the service just to be shitty. But, CLEARLY that's not the case since you refused to give me the password to the thing, which means I couldn't port forward, which means that if it WERE routed out into the internet and then back here, my brother wouldn't have been able to connect to my game since the ports were closed, hence the whole god damn reason we're playing LAN alone instead of me trying to run a server for us and a few friends.

@Misskin I'm going to go out on a limb here and suggest you take a page out of my book, sometimes being direct really solves this kind of problem. I'd literally just say to her, "Hey, you're really sweet, and it's really nice spending time with you, I just wanted to clarify if you're being flirty or just really nice because both are great options and I just want to make sure I'm not missing something or just reading too much into it."

I try to, bu if they're the paper ones they have a tendency to occasionally catch fire from sparks. I'd honestly be more worried about potentially getting hantavirus from where some kind of rodent has been chewing through the wall of the studio

on another note, got asked to sign a student petition, asked what it was for, their reply "for the greater good" yeah... right... asked to see the information behind it, they list off the 3 groups behind it, all of which I don't like very much because they do very repressive and shitty things to any groups they don't agree with on campus in the name of 'progress'. finally manage to get them to show me the actual substance of the petition, all of it is complete SJW bullshit, and the one line that stuck out the most was "And we demand the university foster a safer space for discussion of controversial topics by removing and summarily expelling any students whose activities, speach, or ideology does not match the viewpoints of the student organizations sponsoring these demands" I will never, ever put my name to anything that ridiculous

 

So they demand a safe space from other peoples thoughts and ideas. Here I thought college was to broaden people's minds, not foster the prejudices that they already have.

 

Apparently they knew how ridiculous it was if they were insistent on not telling you what you're signing. Of course, whether or not the university would pay them any heed regardless of how many signatures it had, is another story, because it basically meant anywhere from 50% to 70% of your university would have to be expelled, and that'd be suicide for them.

Radicals, Dracoa. Make demands, silence opposition. I can think of a few historical figures who did the same, who aren't exactly remembered with respect.
