I got a gift early (my Christmas pajamas) and the way my mom gifted them to me was brilliant. She started out by pulling me aside saying that she needed to tell me something, acting as if I'd done something wrong. So I'm all worried that I had fucked up or something. She then mentions that I had said something about pajamas (all while acting serious and what not) and then proceeds to hand them to me before busting out laughing. I thought I was in serious trouble up until she handed me the pajamas XD

 

Yeah my family up here will eusually do out gathering the week before Xmas. So that's why.

got my workbench somewhat back in order, almost had a sizable phosphoric acid spill, got what did spill cleaned up and neutralized. I'm definitely going to make sure that I get some proper chemical storage going on and if I have to just shove someone else's shit out of the way on top of some other shit then tough, proper chemical storage and handling is more important than the boxes of old used sandpaper that someone else can't seem to throw away

 

Progress towards my wingsuit training resumes in January.

Also my dad came by to buy Christmas presents and see the movie! He lives 12 hours away!

It's not that I shut him down, it's that he kept insisting on telling me something I didn't want to hear. Only reason I didn't walk away first was I was busy doing something in the kitchen where we were.

I don't get it. Sometimes listening to stuff you aren't particularly interested in is part of normal conversation... And maybe some gameplay mechanic or story element in the game is really cool.

Konami, especially in regards to Kojima, is a particular sore subject for me.....similar to topics about any company that doesn't treat it's employees or consumer market well....THAT much can be "my personal issue", but it's something of all people I'd hope my brother would respect when I say I don't want to hear about it. Any passerby, sure, I'll smile and nod and listen...

To give him credit, yes, before that bit we were talking about various easter eggs and mechanics in games, especially in the earlier titles of the MGS series (Psycho Mantis from I, Fission Mailed from II, The End from I think the 4th). Those didn't bother me, and I listened, and gave feedback. After that he wouldn't take no for an answer.
