    As far as I know, the differences are that laser hair treatment isn't permanent, just very long term, but it is more comfortable than electrolysis.

    Also the method of electrolysis you mentioned is quite outdated now, and modern versions now use high power lasers too. It is REALLY painful, but the woman who does it said that I'm actually one of the best people she's worked on because of how well I endure it. That said, I can't see myself having it done on my arms and legs too. That would be too much.

    Ah. Considering I've been looking into inexpensive if short term solutions (namely sugar waxing) due to budget and all, I'm not the best source of information on either of those processes. x'D

    I must be a total nerd because I remember electrolysis being a way to induce chemical reactions through applying direct current in a particular way.

    I didn't think Inside Out was great, just ok. One huge plot hole ruins it for me.

    That's exactly what i was thinking. I was like "why are you trying to separate hydrogen and oxygen from water??

    Applying current to two dissimilar metals in a solution can yield hydrogen and oxygen. Not going into further details as you can potentially kill yourself if you're not careful.

    Thinking about selling my car. It's upsetting, but I can't really afford to keep it any more. I tried to get rid of it before, but I'm too attached to her ;~;

    air chased copper bracelet from scrap pipe with a patina (ooooh, pretty blue toxic salt!)
    I definitely want to get some jewleres pitch and attempt some repousse and chasing work, but it's expensive, a pitch bowl and pitch cost around $80 and a basic set of like 7 repousse punches is over $120 so I'll likely just have to make my own from other tools

    There is also electrolytic plating, such as zinc plated metals to resist corrosion, though I may be getting my terms a bit mixed up...basically it's electrically induced chemical reactions, typically in a liquid bath, with a wide variety of potential applications, yes.

    Considering the concept was at least explained to me in high school sciences, by the example of inserting a zinc rod and a copper rod into a (water? conductive chemical?) bath and applying current to both, and having zinc ions strip themselves from the zinc rod and follow the current to deposit themselves onto the copper rod......I at least don't think it's all that nerdy until you get into the more advanced applications. xP

    You know its a good game when I lose my voice by the end. Even though we lost, it was still a good one. Sadly my favorite player is still out from an injury he sustained during Sunday's game, but he's recovering and should be back in action soon.

    This shark is going to bed. Night all.

    galvanizing is most often done with a hot-dip method where they just dunk a part into molten zinc since it's the fastest and cheapest. usually if they're going to do electroplating to prevent corrosion it's on parts that they want to hold some kind of tolerances and they'll usually do a chrome coat or another material depending on the intended application. personally I'd prefer a cheap black oxide coating on steel to galvanized since it's easy enough to strip and do something else with, removing zinc you have to use acids, which carry obvious safety risks, or you have to burn it off, which again carries obvious safety risks and can likely warp your part

    Also I really like Occulto beer, even if it's made by anheuser-busch, the stuff aged on tequila barrel staves

    My tumblr is 3 followers away from 2000. Maybe it's time to start recording higher quality stuff, longer videos, and take better pictures. The next 2000 won't be so easily seduced.
