Retail. Often doing two peoples jobs for one persons pay.

So, yesterday was the equivalent to April fools in Latin countries. My boyfriend is in Miami, and apparently introduced me to his extended family by making a prank out of pretending we were having a kid. I'd kill him if I didn't like him so much. XD

 

I deal with other people at work all the time...

Only thing I don't like about it is I feel like I'm expected to get personal with guests, but I really don't care about their lives or who the names of their kids are, ya-da ya-da ya-da.

 

Yeah people always try to tell me all their intimate shit at work, too. Im like jee wilikers, im your therapist not your fucking diary.

 

ah, the joy of crushing a highschooler's dreams by telling them they aren't cool just because they once had a sip of tequila and that it's actually really fucking annoying to have them constantly bragging about having a sip of beer

 

Well shit, nothing like waking up to the earth shaking and realizing there was an earthquake. Everyone is going ape on faceshit...

 

Aww but earthquakes are fun
I remember I managed to sleep though one once.
Nothing like feeling the ground under your feet ungulate while shaking side to side at the same time.
It's a thrill I think everyone should experience at some point

 

The whole world wants to see you shake it.

 

The U.K has hardly any earthquakes but when we do it always seems to be in the early hours of the morning.

I remember one time I was sleeping when my bed started to shake. Started to tell my dog off to stop scratching herself at the bottom of my bed. But she wouldn't listen it seemed so climbed to the end of my bed to bop her one. To me surprise there was no dog there, then my mind suddenly clicked "Omg EARTHQUAKE!?"

 

Earthquakes are an interesting phenomenon.
Granted I lived in Southern California for a long time and got used to it.

 

No wonder hahaha.

The last one that was able to be felt happened about 14-15 years ago. I was in grade 6 at the time IIRC...

Apparently this one was 5 in Victoria but still strong enough to make me wonder if I was on the water in a boat. Admittedly I froze in my bed wondering if I should hide somewhere but it stopped. I haven't been able to sleep since.
