Can someone just do us all a favor and put a hit on Old Man Winter?

 

Ok everywhere is getting snow. Even my study partner in Japan is getting snow.

This lycan is now in super sulk mode because she doesn't seem to get snow in her country.

I need more snow to make an igloo.

 

I am so embarrassed I could curl up into a ball and die right now.

So I've just been out doing one of my favorite things: driving around at night listening to music. I ended up driving through a club-centric part of town which, because it's Saturday, is absolutely packed with club-goers. So I'm sat in traffic waiting for taxis to move, surrounded on all sides by excited party people. As usual, because of my car there's staring, waving, shouting, picture taking, etc, I rev the engine a bit in response, it's all good fun.

Then through my slightly open window, I hear a "hey man!". I turned to see two youngish women coming up to the side of my car. In a split second I'm thinking "Are they just crossing the road? No, they're coming straight up to my car." They're now pretty much right next to my window. "Are they going to say something about my car? Are they going to ask for a ride? Do I know them from somewhere? Are they prostitutes? (lol, inexperienced virgin mind)".

I roll the window down and say "yeah?"......aaand they just stand and stare at me without saying anything. For the longest, awkward 3 or 4 seconds ever. I realise that, actually, they hadn't been talking to me at all. Now I think about it, I don't even know if it was them that said anything to begin with. I awkwardly rolled the window back up, just to hear a laugh and "what was all that about?" before I got away from there as quickly as possible.

It doesn't seem very troubling in written form, but being the awkward, shy introvert that I am, I now feel physically sick. I can't seem to do anything without getting into awkward situations. Looking back, I should've said something like "sorry, I thought I heard you talk to me" or something, but I'm not that quick of a thinker.

 

So what you're saying is that you got to talk to two young ladies.

 

I feel your pain man, I've had this happen numerous times to me out in public.
Don't take it too hard, those kind of things happen and all you can really do is laugh it off.

 

I really could've done without that particular experience though.

 

Would you like to talk to a homely young man to help balance it out? XD

 

I'd send all of winter that we are getting this weekend to you if I could.

 

Hmm...somehow I've managed to skip dinner...not sure how that happened and surprisingly I'm not hungry.

 

@AkaiKitsune To be honest, while I get a fair number of cases where I mistake someone talking to someone else as talking to me, since I'm....well. I usually just shrug it off with an "Oh, my bad." complete with my unconcerned....mumble? that I apparently have in such situation..

 

its snowed here around Houston before. enough to cover the grass, but that was like more than 4 years ago now

This happens when n I am intently focused on a project.

 

I'm so wishing I was snowed in at the moment, I really don't want to go into work tonight. I'm so sleepy and I hurt everywhere.

 

Home, no idea where Poster is, guess I'll just stick with Berit on skype til I drag my sorry butt down to the bathroom and get cleaned out for my toys in the morning!

 

I don't know whether the crisps that are supposed to be chili-flavoured are so weak, or my tongue is so burnt out with chili-like spices I don't feel the chili anymore.
