The Video Game Thread

Anyone else here still play GTA Online and think that the price of car mods at Benny's is absolute bullshit?

 

I think my low rider costs more than my gold brushed, fully upgraded Adder.

Then again, I bought a 10mil yacht.

 

I want to get the Sultan RS, but I'm someone who has trouble playing enough to break $100K, after ammo and such. Trying to get Heists to work properly is a nightmare at best, and I'm not really good enough at the game/have a good enough PC to perform well enough in general jobs and events to make decent money.

 

Well, there's always the shark cards.

GTA online is fun and all, but it's such a grind.

 

Eh, I wouldn't mind spending a little bit on it, but £10 for a single mediocre car? That's almost as bad as Need For Speed World.

Yeah, the grind is fucking absurd. That's probably why there's so many dedicated cheaters.

 

I'll admit, I bought a shark card because I didn't want to grind out the rest for the yacht. I haven't run into any cheaters, modders, whatever term you want to use during Freeroam, but I constantly get invites from random people to modded lobbies.

Never accecpted them though.

 

I'm not exaggerating when I say pretty almost every lobby I've been in had at least one cheater in it. The last time I played, I got constantly killed by a guy aimbotting in god mode, then when I switched lobbies got followed around by a guy spawning bags of money and supercars on me. I haven't played since.

Oh, and you've gotta love the guys who insta-kill everyone in the lobby at once continually. I've come across those more than a few times.

 

What platform is this on? I've never heard anything that bad.

 

PC. It was just before the most recent ban wave. I don't even know if I've been banned for receiving spawned-in money, but I know other people have.

Thing is, Rockstar's anti-cheat system is fucking useless. It's so easy to just install a recently updated trainer and go apeshit online. I even saw someone telling a couple of guys how to do it. 5 minutes later, they're back in the lobby and cheating everywhere. It's insane.

 

Fully customizable. Future iterations will be of other suits so you can mix and match. Now I just need $400. US.

 

Ah. I play on XB1. Very little, if any, of that. At least in my experience. You shouldn't get banned for the spawned-in money. Console versions had that problem early on and to my knowledge Rockstar only banned the people spawning the money bags.

 

I would totally collect figures like this if they weren't so ridiculously expensive.

Before going to bed last night I made my GTA Online character look like Elder Maxson from Fallout 4.
