Now that news of my recent medical changes has passed, I'm actually in good spirits.

Maybe its because Gasparilla starts tomorrow, maybe its because I don't let anything keep me from doing what I want and that I have just another challenge to overcome. Whatever it is, I'm motivated to bend life over and fuck it in whichever hole I want.

I want to start a thread on 3D printers. Not sure if Creative. General. Or Toys. Cause I am trying to use it to make my own oniholes but I also want to talk about tips and tricks for finishing and prepping.

I've read that you shouldn't really make sex toys with 3D printers because the material isn't appropriate and too porous.

Tbh, a thread would go great in Creative or General.

Feeling relatively tired after a big dinner.
Had myself a nice big glass of beer with dinner and I'm pretty sure that's what made me feel sleepy.

Notably, BD chose to full on erase certain threads, including that one, rather than lock them....and from what I saw, it was not because of how long they were.

a word describing a complex interaction of neurotransmitters and hormones that in most cases keep you addicted to another person long enough to mate and raise young to the minimum age of biological development for independence and a relatively high survival rate before it starts to wear off and you begin to resent each other's very existence

for basic mold making you just print a master (usually the layered thermoplastic since most people can't afford a laser sintering printer or a UV reactive resin printer) do some finishing to remove or at least lessen the steps between print layers and then choose what kind of mold you want to make, whether it's a single piece mold or a multi-piece mold with a supporting shell. looking at BD toys I'd bet they probably do a one piece mold out of a soft to medium shore harness silicone, probably with a slit down the side with registry marks.

And this is why we need folks like you and Rob so we can make our own line! I'd suggest Cancel as well but they seem content to be running their own little thing, maybe they'd say yes to a collab, maybe not, I wouldn't know......

EDIT: And maybe also Icestar and another certain person I know....

you can also take a silicone mold off of hand carved/modeled clay, if you use plasticine you need to buy the sulfur free stuff or the silicone for the mold won't set up properly. for a one piece silicone mold with undercuts I've read and been told it's best to make a 2 stage cut to achieve a seamless cast, you make a first cut half of the depth to the master being molded in a zigzag pattern so that the mold will automatically line itself up and then spread the cut and make a clean straight cut since the silicone will want to retain its shape, the mold won't leak unless you try to cast something with a very high density that can push outward on the mold with enough force to open the relief cut.

technically you can cast some low melting point metals into silicone molds, so you could potentially make a tin cock as a decoration if you really wanted...

See, you'd have to explain that in several posts with more details, because I'm not fully understanding. How do you make a mold out of silicone, for silicone, when silicone based lubricants already screw up silicone toys? I thought you would make a hard mold shell from a plaster, plastic, or clay (all sulfur free, I remember reading that much), and cast the silicone in that....presumably with some kind of degassing chamber set up that I wouldn't know how to make or get just yet.

You coat the model in a releasing agent. Generally a sticky solution. I've used dawn dish soap in the past

Also @scalie always liked the idea of making positives of models out of metal. More reuses and longer shelf life. On the plus side if you last long enough you get a hallway lined with metal dicks

most plaster contains gypsum which is used in processing coal to absorb sulfur (so I've been told, so take with a grain of salt) but it is a calcium sulfate mineral, so would likely inhibit silicone curing. from what I learned in a few minutes of googling it seems that just using a simple spray wax or petroleum jelly based mold release will keep the silicone from bonding to the mold since it never comes in contact. it could be possible to use an alganate mold material, but it may break down quicker. I've seen a few degassing chambers for small batches of mold material, you can also rig up your own pretty easily, just a large stainless steel pot, some pipe fittings, a valve and a vacuum pump that can pull at least 2 bar of pressure
