Hey, did any one notice that we've officially reached 1,000 members?!

 

Yep, saw that yesterday. Still wondering if they got some sort of a points bonus...hahahaha!

 

I'm aware of at least several holiday origins. My issue is with the modern transformation of literally every holiday in the US into a reason to buy more in a blatant disregard for the original purpose the date served, and I feel especially disgusted by the fact that this includes days like Memorial Day (you're supposed to be remembering the men and women who died serving your country, NOT CAR DEALERSHIP SALES AND CHEAP BEER?!).

 

Woohoo I start my training tomorrow for my new job!!
I'm both excited and nervous, and I don't even know what to wear. >.>

 

It's certainly annoying, but there's enough in the world for me to get bent out of shape over. Optional consumerism on holidays I may not even care much about (like Sweetest Day) just aren't worth the energy it would take to be angry. Literally all you have to do is not buy things, and if you want to you can celebrate it the way it was originally meant for.

 

I know. Doesn't mean I can't criticize.

 

I'm not one for holidays and sentimental stuff a lot of the time, but I love that Valentine's Day is a really good excuse to go out and have/make a nice meal between two people!

 

Waaaah I'm getting calls for interviews and I don't know what to do @.@
A warehouse job called me about an interview and I said I'd call them back, so far tried twice to get into contact with the person who called me and so far no luck.
I'll keep trying and if they don't call me back or I don't get into contact with them then I'll count my losses and move on.

However the first few days they told me to wear casual, so we'll just have to wait and see.

In other news I managed to score another interview for a full-time warehouse position on Friday and I start training for this current job tomorrow. This is such a great turn of events and I'm glad I had everyone who supported me and told me to not give up.

I....wh........this literally broke my brain with just how stupid it is.

 

Unless peeping toms and disgruntled spouses/fiances/one-night-stand folks feel like reporting it and getting themselves punished as well, and anyone who'd handle the reports/case actually GAVE A DAMN, I don't see any ability to even try to enforce it.

I do clearly remember the governor or someone of similar importance in Michigan explicitly calling for other politicians to refuse to acknowledge the Supreme Court decision on same-sex marriage, so if this is their attempt to try and bypass the SC and inhibit homosexuality it's one of the most vain and futile attempts in political trickery I've ever seen in the US.

The site was one of those good old Facebook clickbait thingers but I had to read it, I mean, anal sex is awesome. How could someone want to ban that?

Also there are two main reasons I can think of for "wanting to ban anal sex". Either A: a vain attempt to damage homosexual couples, or B: Trying to insert "Anti-Sodomy Laws" aka force religious beliefs and morals through misappropriation of legal duty and power similar to that one woman who refused to give marriage licenses to same-sex couples following the SC hearing last year.

I don't know which to assume because they're both incredibly stupid.
