My computer decided to delete half of its programs today. Like, no error message, no nothing, just, firefox, itunes, my virus protection, all my games, gimp... all those programs gone in the 30 seconds it took my computer to restart.

Luckily, I didn't lose any files, and it appears that my saved games are still intact somehow. I'm really not sure what happened.

Regardless, it's a massive pain, and totally ruined my plans for what I wanted to do today.

I have stumbled upon this gif... I was "Awww, poor Fry..." at first, but then I realized this is actually describing my life... *sigh*
    [IMG]

It gets worse and worse, doesn't it? All I want is some love, genuine one. I want to experience the feeling that somebody loves me with his or hers whole heart, and that I'm the most important person in somebody's life for once.
Instead all I have is shit. Shit job, shit home, shit life. Even my parents are treating me like their personal slave for most of the time, and my father himself is a whole another story.

And with all that Valentine's day campaigns showing up, I get reminded on every step of the one thing I don't have, even if the whole day is just a commercial crap. I'm capable of giving it, but when I recieve none in return all the time, something's slowly dying inside me.

When you find the one that makes all of this stuff make sense, you'll know the waiting was worth it. It's about quality over quantity. Being in relationships that aren't good for you, even though they may seem like a good idea, can be just as bad or worse than being single. I shouldn't have dated most of the people I have. It takes time to make things work right. You could try doing something new if you're looking for a way to change things up, go to a new place to meet somebody, try an app, check out a new website.

@vahaala I know how you feel...at one point in my life it was the only thing I wanted, however Exeter nailed it. All it took was one real LTR for me to realize it's kinda overrated and that I was actually trying to suffocate who I really was. The relationship, while I loved the girl, was actually really bad for me and it also revealed to me who I really am...someone who needs a great deal of alone time with a bit of excitement sprinkled in. Don't forget as well that you are loved by many here, we may not be able to show it physically but we still care. I myself would like to see you in better circumstances, and most of all, happy.

Your situation is no doubt different but you will find someone. I wish I could help you out, but sometimes being alone and having to fight for yourself is a good thing, it makes you a stronger person. I've been there a lot growing up and it gave me a certain independence that I'm sure you have.

@Exeter @Serathaiya I know this is all true, but I guess it all boils down to the feeeling I'm always living in someone's shadow. No matter what I do, how hard I try, there's always someone better, more important, whatever. I'm always that #2 or further. The fact I didn't achieve any of the things I wanted so far, however simple they might have been, doesn't really help.

I simply want it to be different for once.

Going to be vague here because reasons, but I'm just so pissed off right now. I feel like a patsy. That's not what's happening, I'm pretty sure (I really hope). I'm trying really hard not to be upset, but it's hard as hell. I just really wish I didn't know certain things. Trying to stop thinking about it. Trying to tell myself that it's stupid to be upset about it. I'm just so confused and I hate being confused. Figured getting it out (kinda) might help. We'll see I guess.

I always find getting it out helps. Problem solving is social. I have felt a lot of what you're feeling before in my own situations, if you need to talk I'm definitely a good listener and always swift with the advice.

Thanks. I talked things out with that person though and it's all good. She was really understanding. I still feel silly for being upset in the first place, but I'm otherwise OK. I'll keep you in mind for the future though. Always nice to have people to talk about things rattling around in your head. And it's of course a two way street.

Books-A-Million didn't tell me that my $25 membership expires after only a year, until after I'd paid for it...

Why does the idea of simply disappearing feel so alluring? Going completely radio silence, removing every trace of my presence. These feelings reveal themselves at times and I often find myself agreeing with them. Ugh.

It's appealing to me, but I wouldn't remove every trace. In fact, I'd make it so my last transmission to the world before going ghost was something involving Candlejack, just to screw wi

So frustrated with myself. I hate that I am willing to put forth a maximum amount of effort at my minimum wage job yet hardly any when it comes to my classes. The classes that I need to get a real job. I just lose motivation so easily and want to give up. :(

jobs are rewarding, even bad ones. You have a task and it never feels like a complete waste of your time.

I've worked mostly fast food and never really hated it, I found comfort and fun in my coworkers and the fact that after some easy work I could go home

I got to work the entire back line by myself for one bus, then a small, almost non-existent break in customers, and then another bus came in. Breakdown city, population me.

Once served 78 buses in a row working at tim hortons. The only upside was that I spent the whole day working with this cute emo girl I had a major crush on and we totally hit it off. Ultimately we became pretty good friends and I missed any chance to date her but that's another story.
