Friend of mine from both an MC server I used to be on and the old BD forums happens to be an AME as well, working on bomber maintenance (I think he said B-52s? Do we still use those?). He's currently stationed in Korea last I checked, and is scheduled to be rotated to a base stateside this year.

Starbuck, if anyone knows or remembers him. And yes I invited him to DH, no he doesn't seem interested in forums right now.

Wow, I'm still in disbelief honestly. I never knew a supercharger could spool up to that speed but if things are even higher in a plane...that's pretty amazing! What I wonder is what kind of material is used to make these parts and how it survives, not to mention dealing with the fact that the material expands. Also the amount of energy exerted on those parts too...hmmm.....

Sometimes I think and ponder about the weirdest stuff.

Perhaps this minifridge is a bad idea. Every time I hear it kick on, I think about how I'd like to get a drink out of it.

The things I could tell you about jets.

I was trained as an AMT on Learjets and some Boeing models a couple years ago, but decided to switch over to the avionics field.

Had a black/white stylized icon of a pony with a navy cap of sorts and a cigar, with a red back ground if it helps. We chat from time to time on Steam whenever our schedules meet.

It's a visual novel/game (more the former than the latter) called Nekopara and the most recent Volume (2) released yesterday.
It's all sorts of cute and I almost can't handle it. <3

Ugh oh my god my feet and knees hurt like a bitch! >.<
Today was my first training day and man am I hurting, granted it's mostly because I haven't been doing anything for practically 2.5 months.
But I'm loving the job and I feel that my body will adjust.

I'm friends with a couple people who volunteer as cast and staff for the Renaissance Faire here. A couple friends and I were also talking about dressing up as Dark Brotherhood members and placing fake daggers or scrolls with the brotherhood's calling card on select members of the royal court, from the lonely guard all the way to the king and queen. Some of the court members, who just happen to be my friends, say they'd be very interested in this and may even include it in the shows.

I have people on the inside.

Just totaled 2 cars. Not my fault and witnessed by a police car following me. A person pulled out of a slip road and clipped the back end of my car pushing the back end into the other side of the road oncoming traffic, managed to correct just about but was pointed towards a parked car, made the call just to hit it front on as the space was too tight to pull it round safely. My passenger and I are both fine, the car did its job and crumpled into a mangled mess however.

The police commented also that they suspected had I tried to pull it around it would of been a side on collision and we would probably be in really bad shape.

Life lesson for any of you drivers, if you're going to hit something in a car, always do it head on.

Holy shit, thankfully you guys are all right. I almost hit someone on my bike the other day when he decided he could beat me doing a left turn from the oncoming lane. I followed the guy until he pulled over and got out and never have I given anyone so much shit. Dude looked like he was gonna have a heart attack.

It figures he's one of the "minority" drivers that probably bought their license. They all drive like that, never signal, can't park, drive cars they shouldn't be driving. Oh well. Don't come to Vancouver if you're susceptible to road rage. I wonder if it's the same where you are.

Oh I know this feeling very well. All I do is make laps around this ginormous warehouse all day at work. I actually dl'd a pedometer out of curiosity. About 8 miles in a 12hr shift at an average 2.6 mph.

Agreed. My friend got T-boned out of nowhere in highschool, this lady just didn't turn at all or brake for a curve and slammed into her. She had both legs broken and needed surgery, and I think may have also broken an arm. The car was on fire and the the door had to be pried open. Definitely better to hit things head on.

Glad everyone's alright. My dad was in a similar situation last year. Some chav girl was speeding down the slip road with a spare wheel on, lost traction in the rear and went straight across both lanes into the front side of my dad's car, spinning it. This was the girl's car, and this was my dad's. Luckily, my dad walked away with a couple of bruises and the girl with shock and some minor cuts.

Sounds like a lot of the drivers around where I live. People here can't drive for shit. I usually have at least one close call probably every time I go out driving. It's pretty bad for me though cause people tend to see my car and try to race me, which I guess makes them push past their capabilities and situational awareness.

Furthermore, it amazes me how many people here drive cars like BMWs and Audis with big engines and turbos, yet don't really understand how to drive those kinds of cars properly. Should be mandatory to have practical lessons on cars with RWD, large capacity engines and forced induction IMO.
