a company called Reynolds advanced materials, they have a location in Phoenix AZ and one of the sales reps said one of their biggest customers is "a producer of adult novelties", they're an owned distributor of smooth on products, so it makes sense

on the topic of toys and casting products, I'm now more than ever sure BD uses a single piece thin high flexibility silicone mold with a two part mother mold around it for their toys since it's one of the very few ways you could do that without it leaving seams in the finished casting. also Reynolds sells a product specifically for filling in the print lines on 3D printed masters so you can avoid the topographic look ending up in your molds

 

ya'll, does it make me a snob/mean/bitchy/ if I say that I don't like it when ppl post threads "What toy should I get" "First time buyer wanting advice" "Which toy should I get" on DragonHoard? I expect to see them on the main forum, but even then they still irk me a bit.

They're just so spammy to me because they clog up the forums, they're never ending (there will always be newbies) and I don't understand how a person can expect another human being to tell THEM what THEIR body will like. Am I crazy? am I being too critical/snooty?

 

I understand to an extent, I think there are plenty of reviews around the main forums, these forums, and personal blogs that anyone can find with the magic of google that it gets a little repetitive, especially if the person is a complete newbie and has never had or used toys because asking something like "should I get X or Y" is just going to get a response based on other's experience and opinions, or someones just saying "oh, get X, I think it looks better than Y"

 

reminds me of going to LGBT forums, there's an endless stream of people asking questions that only they themselves can answer. I have tonnes of fans from my tumblr asking for help picking toys. Sometimes, in the case of people like @Berit we bounce ideas around and explore the intersection between fantasy and physical pleasure and we come up with a toy (and then fall in love and start dating.) More people come to me saying "I really want a tentacle what toy should I get??" and I just sort of help them pick their tentacle because they already know what they like

 

I need to get back into watching Gunslinger Girl.

I imagine it'd be fun to see BD's reaction to a company starting up using very similar techniques to them, but better quality and different original designs.

 

I know EXACTLY what youre talking about and I felt the same !! The women were already badass as fuck. Why did they have to completely ruin their character by adding in those out of place pervy moments ?!
It was incredibly annoying and took away from a really creative awesome kick ass atmosphere.
I just finished watching the series too and while I wanted to love it I couldn't watch it again because of those points mentioned.
The only one they did justice was koura (ugh I forgot her name actually but you know the one). She was never reduced to some shy teenage stereotype.
I loved her character so much.

Yeah, she's one of my favorites. I really liked her ending scene too, it was so emotional. I felt sorry for her.

 

I forget which one Kongou was....was she the (red) cruiser AI who sacrificed herself to save the protagonist, or the (black) battleship AI who kinda went semi-haywire for the last few episodes and was the overall main antagonist until the very ending?
