Welp...I decided to jump on this super late bandwagon and joined Twitter.

My "weekend" has been ok, I wish I still didn't hurt so much but otherwise I'm alive and well.

 

Got a huge infux of notes on tumblr suddenly, now I have 25 convos going on kik and 12 on tumblr.... not sure how I'm going to find time to respond to everybody And this is toy day!

 

This ought to be a good weekend! Just got an email from BD yesterday, saying my order shipped.
I can't wait to see what 'surprise me' colors I got..............Should arrive today!

So it turns out our former Celestia for the MLP convention I work with, she and I were like preschool playdates. She use to make me watch Pocahontas color with her, and other things. Our mothers worked together, and we'd go over to her house to play after preschool.

What a small world.

 

FA. A success. That's a good one.

From the standpoint of finance, FA has been a complete failure from the get go, Dragoneer was constantly hard in debt keeping it going because it didn't make anywhere near enough in advertising money to meet server costs; the last known public statement prior to the IMVU purchase was around $25K, which was supiciously similar to the last "donation drive" that was supposed to cover server upgrades after the DDoS at the end of 2014, and afterwards IMVU was said to be providing the server upgrades "for free", leaving that $25K to disappear into Neer's pocket.

And, to back that up, a little something about business. When one company is in debt, that debt will become the sole legal responsibility of whoever might buy them out; because of this a company with debt is extremely unattractive to potential buyers and mergers, but quick revenue from liquidating assets or in this case deceitful donation drives will improve it's value and make the sale more likely.

Literally the only thing that has been keeping FA from dying several times over is several artists who used it primarily, that happened to go big, and drew a crowd, thus making most equate "FurAffinity" to mean "The Fandom", which is actually a load of bull. The ship stays afloat only because of the sheer number of people on it.

*whistles* Now that's neat.

 

I could never live in Canada. Too cold. If I were to move to a foreign country, it'd probably be like, I don't know, Texas.

I just found out that there is a small furry fandom event happening here in Vegas, in early May!

Might be my only chance to attend a furry event, for quite some time.

Partly. I know Texas isn't a foreign country. But Canada is too cold for me.

 

If Trump is elected, I'm not leaving the country. But I would take extended vacations. Every weekend. Out of the country.

I just don't know where to go.

Okay, thank goodness. For a second I thought you actually believed that Texas was a foreign country.

 

Dude, anywhere would be better than here if Trump is elected.
But according to the news the Republican party has a plan to basically block him out of the race.

 

Wish I could buy a new graphics tablet so I can start drawing on my PC again. Maybe try live steaming when I get a little more confident in my skills. Or even proper commissions.

 

To be fair, compared to Virginia, it kinda is like going to another country. Completely different environment, weather, attitudes, etc. In the same way that Miami is apparently North Cuba.

I lived in Canada for about 7 months. Unfortunately the 7 of the coldest months. It was Atlantic time... so way over on the east coast. I drove there from Las Vegas... so, you know, 3500 miles (took a long way by going up through New York through Montreal, instead of going through Maine). And then drove back.
It's not that costly to fly... at least, at the time it was $600 roundtrip. I did that a few times afterwards. I had the cash to do it... but as it stands right now, I don't have the cash to burn.

Of course, it wasn't a great place to visit. Oh, don't get me wrong, there are great places to go in Canada, but I was in New Brunswick. Their only claim to fame is that they have the longest covered bridge in the world.
... I didn't even see it.

 

So the college tour was interesting. Learned about the campus housing both on and off, and I'm very interested in the 4 roommate option .
