Had a dream my grandfather, whom I haven't spoken to in probably over a year added me on facebook, today I get some random add from a random guy in Maryland and there in my list of friend notifications is my grandfather! I must have checked my phone in my sleep! Now we're catching up!

your dad got out of the POW camp if I remember correctly but he didn't return to England? Or at least not to your mother?

He did but I never knew him till I was 9 and he was a stranger in MY house. Like so many, he wasn't the same man when he returned from the war and they divorced in 49.

Basically his mother was German and his Dad was English, they went to England on their honeymoon and then war broke out so she got stuck there for 6 years. He ended up moving to Canada with his Mom's family, a 10 year old English kid with a bunch of Germans he didn't know.

 

I'm learning that the people i play games with online, regularly, are starting to grow on me. Though i may not tell them, i think they're emotionally healing and i don't ever want to lose them. Same goes for those who chat with me from this lovely place <3

Interesting. I was thinking about the french term " Loup garou". Loup over of course meaining wolf, but garou comes from the old Germanic word for werewolf (or man who becomes an animal). Kinda makes the loup needless as it would translate to "wolf man wolf".

Turns out we probably won't catch the customer that had his **** out in drive thru because my work doesn't bother to have any CCTV cameras where number plates can be identified.
Apparently it was up to me to identify the vehicle but... shock makes a person act really bizarre.

Makes me worried because what I went through was bad enough, but what if we had a holdup? We'd be screwed :/
