To be fair, biologically, genetically, she is a man, that will never change. I don't think that people should change their sex just because they feel like they were born in the wrong body. Would you kill someone who feels like they should be dead? Of course not.

That's the point though, there is no "biologically" or "genetically" man or woman beyond gestation. If people actually educated themselves on the subjects beyond the watered down shit they get taught as children, they'd understand that. "Man" and "Woman" are nothing but a collection of averages. Chromosomes don't mean shit after they've kicked off gonad assignment. Sex hormones fluctuate massively between individuals regardless of sex. Genitals don't determine the person. What else is there? After a fully completely successful MtF transition, probably the only thing that would ever indicate their prior sex, even to medical experts, would be their pelvic bone and internal reproductive organs. But I bet you don't ask everyone you meet which they have, do you? Why the fuck not? We're not harming anyone. And we don't "just feel like we're born in the wrong body", that's just the simplest way we can describe it to people who will never experience dysphoria. And that's a fucking stupid analogy. Almost as stupid as comparing trans people to pursuing surgery to become a dolphin. A change of lifestyle/identity is hardly comparable to voluntary death. Well, I say that but it may as well be in this fucking society.
Fuck. Every time I try to believe in humanity a little bit, I see crap like that and it makes me hate people all over again.Though the saving grace here is that it seems some people aren't so bothered, and they shouldn't be. In the end, it's just another individual living their life as they see fit. However with some people I honestly wonder what goes on in the mind of someone who can't tolerate something or someone so harmless. Would I live in their body for a week? Sure. Not sure how I'd deal with with the obvious lack of empathy and intelligence though. And what I mean by that is how someone can be so bothered they must respond with hatred or violence. Does it affect them in their daily life? No? What's the deal then? Walk away like nothing happened and continue on.
There's that "progressive" compassion and empathy I keep hearing about. Oh wait, that's more disdain for anyone who doesn't think and act like you.
got my steel annealing today (and accidentally murdered a poor defenseless bucket in the process by burning a hole in the side, luckily had some other metal ones nearby to transfer everything to) and got a basic design and template made up for the blade shape, also trawling through all my bookmarks to find the tsukamaki resources I saved a long time ago. probably will try to draw up a menuki design I can carve out of brass bar tomorrow. I always feel my best when I've got something to work on that I enjoy, even if it makes everything more busy and hectic on another note, hope for the best, strive for acceptance, and seek happiness, but be prepared to settle. sometimes contentment and begrudging tolerance is the best you're gonna get from the world, because in the end you're just one more person out of billions around you and the billions who came before that tried to shape the world to fit their hopes dreams and ideas but in the end were forgotten by time because in the grand scheme of things you're just one more living thing trying to survive and the universe doesn't even care that you exist and the same struggles and trials will play out again and again as soon as the memory of those that preceded it fades from the collective societal consciousness and memory. #ScalieSoCynical
Morning all, hope everyone's alright. Got a couple of days off which is always good. Today is my pup's birthday, she turns 23! Gonna help my mom around the house a bit and try to relax as much as I can to prep for this upcoming work week.
Just got back from watching zootopia ! Eee I loved it. I mean the ending was mega 'meh' but the rest was just so good. I lost my shit over the hamsters, and was ready to strangle the sloth even though I was laughing. And chief bogo (hope that's how you spell it) is a hunk. same with the dancing tigers. Only just realized that BD made a toy based off of him o.o
When people say they will do something or "Mayybe" (in a I want to but am teasing you kind of way) and then they don't want to when you get the chance to. :/ Really frustrating.
