The food thread

NOT THAT THERE'S ANYTHING WRONG WITH SANDWICHES*

 

No, not at all ahaha it just gets boring when you eat them everyday for the week.

 

That's a goal to work towards right there

 

Just made some fresh French bread (^^) and put salted butter and baked garlic on top. Yummm!

 

Who wants steak?

 

This is a thread I could get in to.

I've been recovering from a particularly nasty stomach flu. Since I've been feeling better the last two days, I've been craving solid foods. I work at a grocery store, and yesterday I was about to go crazy if I couldn't have one of the fresh rotisserie chickens our bakery had been cooking. The smell was wonderful! But I am broke until tomorrow so I was unable to get one. I'm still hungry for one. I could eat the whole damn thing to myself with some tortillas and spicy sweet BBQ sauce! Sigh.

I promise my next post here will be better.

 

I found out the last two weeks ago over the easter break when I was on holiday to the Canary Islands that Frozen Yogurt is the best thing I have ever tasted and I questioned why I have been avoiding it all my life. The best toppings I had over the ones I ordered was white sauce, cookies and oreo peices. That's heaven right there <3

 

Just had steamed shrimp and snow crab. Damn I love seafood.

 

Self serve fro-yo is very much a thing where I am. I love the variety of flavors and toppings at most places. Green tea and taro are among my favs. Outside of that I tend toward the fruit flavors.

 

My wife prepared a fantastic and large dinner for her younger (17 now) brother's birthday. Several small roasted chickens over corn on the cob, with baked potatoes (I had a baked sweet potato), and cheesy broccoli. It was awesome! However, 30 minutes before dinner was ready, his mother allowed him to walk to McDonald's and he ate. Dinner was ready at 6pm. It is now after 8pm and he has eaten none of it. My wife is pissed.

 

Thats why we give birthday licks

 

I'm not the best cook under the sun, but this thing is really nice. It's fish, with some basil and paprika in the coating, plus leftover buns dipped in egg and fried so they won't go to waste. I must tell you the basil in coating gives a really nice and different taste to it.
