Man today was kind of a drag at work.
But there's some lovely lightning and thunder outside and it makes me happy!

 

Annual company event is tomorrow. It'll be my first. Essentially, we get paid to get drunk off free beer and wine and listen to the CEO talk and pretend to care. AND we close early for it!

 

So my BF and I are doing this thing with marbles and jars. Every time we bang, we put a marble in the jar. If we get married, we take a marble out of the jar when we have sex. The goal is to empty the jar. He thinks we never will.......He's wrong.

Berit and I both had a video removed from tumblr today. Hers had over 2000 notes had probably been seen by tens of thousands of people. Mine barely scraped by 150 notes and somehow, out of every nudie and explicit video on my blog, over 500 posts, that's hay they took down....

 

Do they ever give any kind of explanation for taking them down?

Actually I don't think there is. Maybe, I don't really know English and Polish are so different that there's probably a word for it but not quite? Hard to tell what I have in mind. And it's 7AM when I'm writing this, had less than 7 hours of sleep.

I wouldn't mind if I worked inside, but I don't. I'm out in the thick of it, tornado watch and severe thunderstorm and all.

It's calm right now, at the time of this post. But there's more on the way

 

Ah, yeah I can understand the more severe weather. I've had a little adventure or two out in heavier East Texas winter rainstorms (and even been caught in a crosswind once, haha), and in a possible display of my mental health I somewhat enjoyed it as long as I had some nearby shop awnings to dart between. Too cold or too wet though and I look for places to warm up and dry off, obviously. The one time my brother tagged along with me (because we didn't expect it to start raining again, and the power was out), he.....didn't like it as much.

Light drizzles throughout the day though, I love being outside in those. If I have to work outside in that, all I need is a light jacket or poncho and I'll be in high spirits (likely much to the chagrin of any coworkers who likewise have to be out in the weather)

 

I think the worst I've had was being stuck on the Courtney Campbell causeway here in my part of the state. The causeway is essentially a four lane (two westbound, two eastbound) land bridge a couple feet above sea level. We had a really big tropical storm that hung around for a couple days, and the day it was the heaviest I was driving home from the hangar I worked at at the time. Combine high wind gusts, heavy rain and lightning, and the water nearly covering the bridge. I was one of the last cars aloud to go across before the Coast Guard closed the bridge.

I should mention I had the trip in my small, two door convertible that leaked like crazy. I drove home a cold, soaking wet, tired mess. Best damn hot shower ever when I got home though.
