Man I'm so excited and I can't wait to get going tomorrow morning.

Went to see Civil War. It has some really fun parts, but it takes like a freaking hour just to get to them. I kept wondering when something engrossing was going to happen. It's also a really annoying story in some ways. Could have been done better.

 

finally watched elyseum, found the concept interesting, the visuals were superb, but it's a little ham fisted with it's underlying themes

 

It brought up a lot of awful stuff for me, I was suddenly a kid standing in front of my bullies again. On top of that I just didn't like really any of it. Sound design was awful, I couldn't understand half the dialogue and Jodie Foster's random selection of accents was really grating. Sharlto Copley was miscast, the plot was garbage, I sat through it confused and miserable and finished it disappointed.

I am ridiculously excited right now. Yesterday S. was on facetime with his mom in Mexico, just to say hi and all that. It was mostly in Spanish, so I didn't get all of it. Afterwards he comes up to me and says "Babe... my mom just told me that her and dad are planning an intense trip this winter break that will go to Japan, Cambodia, and Thailand. She says that if you pay for the airfare, they'll take care of everything else." We about crapped ourselves.

So, holy shit you guys. I'm going to east Asia this winter! I can totally save up enough for the tickets.

well as of now it's sitting on my back porch since I have nowhere else to put it and the birds are starting to take a liking to it as a perch.

this is another slightly more fucked up sculpture I made. I still gotta figure out what to put inside it, maybe a creepy puppet, possibly a bunch of tiny burned birdhouses, also thinking about cramming it full of slip cast pit fired ceramic bones with a few cast out of nice shiny bronze so they stick out from the ones that look like real charred bones
