This classic hobby is making a comeback in the best way possible, but doesn't seem right in the video game thread, so here it is :D

Post up your favorites games or share a fun story about a time you played or just anything about them you like :3

The funny thing is, that game is really easy if the traitor never really gets his hands on the Mystic Elevator. Almost every time, the team cheesed it to victory. I literally went Macho Madness with Ox Bellows on Ouroburos, who nearly got out of the house. You wouldn't believe how many 2's I rolled against it... I actually rolled 12 on 7 dice and WRECKED IT. OOOH YEEEEAH I'M THE CREAM OF THE CROP. (funnier still cause my omen cheering squad was a little girl and a madman.)

When I got the traitor, they used all manner of psychic powers to kill all the rats pretty easily. :<

I like.... oh god what's it called?
    HERE IT IS
    Ticket To Ride

And I love Life and Monopoly (classics for both).
But I like card games and tabletop too. I like MTG, DnD, and stuff like Uno and Skip Bo.

My friend showed me that game a few years ago. It was pretty cool. Thanks for reminding me.

Personally a fan of (when you get it running and everyone is invested in the game) Arkham Horror. Nothing like going around fighting Cthulhu armed with a bottle of booze and a shotgun.

I HATE Smallworld though. One person is always in the right spot at the right time and locks everything down somehow.

Life and Monopoly are quite fun games for me.
Some others I enjoy are Sorry and Trouble, also I feel your pain about Smallworld there Kitsy, I've only played it twice and I'm not a major fan.

Now you're speaking my language. xD I love playing Life, but no one ever wants to play because it's such a long game. D: I do enjoy a few card games, if those count? Cards Against Humanity, anyone?

Sadly I live a bit away from friends so I haven't had a chance to play it yet :(

I rarely get to play either. My friends have a bootlegged version (they literally wrote down every card themselves on pieces of paper). It's great fun but I always end up playing online with people instead of irl.

I love to play Cards Against Humanity. I do like to play Magic the gathering and the Pokemon card game.

I love MTG, unfortunately since moving out of the country away from my old friends, I never get the chance to play. I did however, find one card store about 4 hours drive that sells magic cards and does Friday night magic. Unfortunately, I don't think I can read or speak the language well enough to play considering all the new sets that have come out since I last bought cards.

You could always download an app like mtg familiar (android) where you can look up cards. Well, it might only help if your native language is English.

Yes, English is my native language. But having to look up every card on my phone would be a pain in the ass, especially since I wouldn't be able to look up the cards by name due to the translations being a little off. I'd have to search by color, type, cost, and just scroll through all the cards. Not to mention just playing the game, I'd have to learn a whole new vocabulary. I talked to my friends about trying to have a Skype game, but that seems to have died away.

Yeah, that's what I've always used, but my point is doing that on the fly in the middle of a game for every card would be cumbersome. The old cards I could handle playing simply by pictures, but I haven't bought from the new sets in a good 5+ years.
