A little over two and a half years ago, the hair salon Mo worked at, was a thriving business. It was at that time, purchased by new owners. Since then, clientele has been dropping off steadily, to the point that walk-in's became a rare occurrence. Poorly managed and mistreatment of those that provided the services, caused many of the stylists to leave in droves. This finally led the salon to ruin and closing their doors at the end of this month. In an argument with the owners, Mo was confronted with a disagreement on the space rent he owed, while he was working on a client. The owner going as far as saying she didn't care for him or his client, and he was to pack up his stuff and leave that moment. He didn't leave till after he finished with his appointment, as he was in the right and had proof to show her. This happened last Wednesday........

Happily, by Friday, Mo found a new salon. And it just so happens to be where most of those that left, moved to. This new salon has like twenty times the traffic than the old place had, and his clientele are all happy to follow him there. I just got home from being his first cut at his station, and he is as happy as a tiger in tall grass! Mo's income will surely improve now, taking a great deal of pressure off of mine to pay the bills.

Do you have somewhere else you post this stuff like a tumblr? Most of the users on this site have moved to telegram and I don't think you're using that and I don't want to totally lose sight of you if this forum is abandoned or shut down

 

I used to have a tumblr but gave it up for reasons, I do occasionally post stuff on an old deviant art account but I'm starting to move towards shutting that down too. I know at some point I'll need to set up my own website to promote my work, but once I'm in a semi professional capacity I also need to be wary of what sites I'm posting links to what will basically be my business. one of the girls in the same program as me at my college is having a hard time finding any work since she's dual majoring in education and art, and because all of her art is erotic or sexual issues based stuff no school has come near her with a 50 foot pole due to the content of her work and some associations that have been made to it. I do want to keep connected to the people here even if I tend to be a lurker grump. I may have to look into the telegram thing

 

Literally everyone who used to be here is on it, they all moved over from Skype. I moved to it to stay in touch after I closed my porn blog and deleted Kik. I'm on the verge of tossing Skype too,I use Facebook messenger for that sort of thing. Telegram has a very functional app, a good desktop version and an effective browser version. Plus it's on regular development so new features are frequent.

 

I am hungry living on hot pockets and top ramen for last week. Soon I might be done to peanut butter and jelly

found some weird brown slime floating in my jeweler's pickle. a quick search shows it's common, probably some kind of contamination, possibly from iron. there's no way it's biological though since the stuff has a ph of 1. ordered the tools to start experimenting with doing bezels and prong settings. I wonder if Foxy from the old BD forums is still around since he was into jewelry making and maybe we could bounce ideas off each other
