I'm awfully curious about what is the worst that has happened to packages that have been en route to your home? I'm not even fencing it in to just Bad Dragon or adult merchandise in general. I mean anything. The worst that I can remember was when my uncle was still living with us. He ordered a bar stool to be delivered to our house. The UPS guy dropped kicked it to the front door and screamed out, "UPS!!!" and then left in a big hurry. When I went to investigate there was a foot sized hole in it. Thankfully, the bar stool was okay. But, damn...that could've ended badly. The other time, Amazon managed to make my package late by a week by sending it through Hebron, KY. Somehow there is like a black hole for packages there. My poor shirt. I did in the end get it and Amazon did refund me. I suppose, that isn't too bad. But, still....for a shirt!

I think the worst (and most STUPID) things that happened to packages I ordered was

    1. I had ordered 4 lil pieces of clothing (about 2 years ago) and the package was sent to my house as "gift" where no price is shown. Months later I receive a paper at my PO box saying to pay freaking $450 for it as taxes. What. the hell.
It was a package very little. The guy at the post probably was very angry for some reason and put all his anger in my taxing. I've never understood why the hell that tax was so high. Anyway, I lost the shipping muns because a random dude was angry with his life.

and 2. About 3 years ago or so, I ordered a box of curiosities, taxidermy items, and some other stuff on a (cruelty free) etsy shop.
At the check-out my new address at the time wasn't updated yet, I was in a hurry to go at the doctor. And even checking 2 times, guess what. I typed the house number 348 instead of 378. The number didn't even exist in the street. HELL.
I didn't send a message to the seller asking for the tracking number because shipping was expensive and I was sure that It had tracking. If it had I could contact the local post office about it. Gueeess what? It DIDN'T.
One week later he hadn't update me yet on the number, and when I sent him a message about it he said it didn't had any because I didn't ask for it.. "it's free but I don't ask at the post if the buyer don't ask for it previously". whyyy u do that!??
The seller say he didn't receive the items back. So I'm still waiting for that box that I know it's not going to arrive and that probably was burnt to ashes. 130 bucks and world natural treasures INCINERATED.

Woooow....that really sucks. I'm sorry you had to go through that. Eek. I guess, I've been relatively lucky with the post within the last couple of years. Since, that was when one of the two incidents I posted happened.

The ups drivers are not the best in my area. They tend to leave package in the stupidest places. like in front of my garage door. I live on a hill so my driveway is pretty steep and when your driving up it you cannot see anything in front of the garage. So you run over anything they leave in from of the garage. the stupid thing is there is a stairway RIGHT NEXT TO THE GARAGE. I ran over my Echo, but silicone is stronk, there was no damage, lucky. My house is brown as well, so you will not spot a small brown package from the street. some of the drivers like to leave stuff in our gutters/storm drain, cause you know that's smart. UPS has also delivered two of my BD orders to my neighbors houses, luckily i was able for get them before my neighbors did. Plus UPS is slow in my area. Once i started using FedEx all of these issues were resolved and i have found that i receive my orders a day or two earlier.

I have been fortunate to not have anything lost yet.

Damn, you are luckier and safer with FedEx. That sounds like UPS. The guys around our area, are retarded. I swear they are. They left a package UNDER the doormat where I couldn't see it. Thankfully, I was eagle-eyed enough to spot it before I stepped on it. Another time, they left it in the freaking bushes. Good job! I hate our UPS people...FedEx and USPS hasn't done that so far. I tend to favour them. Good thing, Echo is resilient and it wasn't something like porcelain or glass. That would've been mincemeat. Yikes!

I voted for other. Company: OnTrac.
So my story is actually pretty tame. I had ordered parts for my first computer build.
Eventually the case I ordered came in. The components were supposed to come in a few days later, so I waited. Once I got the notification that they were out for delivery, I brought the case downstairs to the kitchen, and got it ready to install the parts. I waited a few hours downstairs watching YouTube videos trying to pass the time. Eventually I needed to use the restroom. While I was in there, I checked my email. No updates. I decided to check the tracking page and the package had be delivered not even 5 minutes earlier. No doorbell, or knock on the door. Just scan the label and they left. That was about 400 bucks of stuff! But at least I got it..

Working at UPS, I definitely see why some packages get damaged / delayed. Most of the time it's not cause of a person, but cause of the equipment. If you want to see what it's like to work at UPS, check this video out. (WARNING Loud!)
Though I will admit that sometimes, it is the person who damages a box. Especially when it's been a fucked up night. I'm not saying that we're pardoned for damaging a box, I'm explaining why someone might have.
For delays, the worst I've seen is some flat metal package that somehow fell into an extendo, and stayed stuck there for 3 months! While in there it got bent almost in half by the extendo x'D It was kinda amazing to see it.

Personally, my fav to receive from is FedEx, with USPS being second, and UPS being third.
    And whenever I'm expecting something expensive (recently I had something with about 300bucks worth of stuff) I request the package to be held for pickup. Especially if it's from UPS, as they usually deliver at around 6 or 7PM. While I'm at work, and my parents are sometimes home, sometimes not ;-;

I have a couple stories. USPS and Fedex have given me the most trouble.

One year for my birthday, I thought I would treat myself to ordering a cake so I wouldn't have to bake one for myself. Yes, I normally celebrate my birthday by myself. It's a complicated and unrelated tangent and I'd rather not go into it. :(

Anyway, I decide to treat myself to a pre-made cake from one of those gift sites and have it shipped. The only option they have is USPS so I go for it, begrudgingly.

My birthday arrives and so does the cake. I arranged for morning delivery so at about 10am I hear a knock at the door. I answer in a good mood because it's a special day and the courier says:

"<Insert my name here>, you have a package from Berries.com."

"Yes, that's me! That's my cake for my birthday today." I beamed merrily.

"WELL GOOD FOR YOU!!!!" He threw the cake as hard as he could, upside down, onto the cement.

I was shattered. My birthdays are already hard enough, but to have someone do that to the cake I was treating myself with because I felt bad was just too much.

Luckily I got a refund. What a dick that guy was. :(

Another time was with Fedex when I ordered a new TV. It came in a giant awkward box that I couldn't lift or get up the stairs to my apartment. It was the top floor unit of a little condo so he just had to bring it up one set of stairs to get it to my door and then I would be able to shove it inside.

He refused and said it wasn't his job to bring it to my door. I was confused. Isn't that *exactly* what a delivery person does? They bring stuff to your door?

Then he said, "Don't you have any friends?? Get them to help you." And left.

Well awesome. I was a fresh transplant to Los Angeles and I'm horrifyingly shy with my socially awkward self so friends are not so easy for me to come by. C'est la vie, I still needed that tv brought up the stairs regardless of my social circumstances. I ended up having to phone an acquaintance while he was at work. He was nice enough to drop everything and help me. Good golly.

*middle fingers to USPS and Fedex*

As a slight silver lining though. I have a LOT of stuff delivered(from groceries, to dicks, to clothing etc) so I'm glad that I only have these two horror stories so far.

I live on the corner, but my address is not the street that my driveway is on. I know, it's a little confusing.
But that means I have to deal with shipping errors all the time -_-
tracking numbers are MUST, because more times then necessary, I've had to pop over a neighbors house to snag my dragon cock off their porch before they open it. x'D

I (luckily) have no big package horror stories beyond weather delays, but I will say that UPS and Royal Mail have some of the slowest shipping out there. German post is fairly good, and so is Japan's post (but to be fair, I've only had one package ordered from these places).

I usually go with US Post because they're quick and cheap. I just wish that BD uses offers them as an option :/

I guess it was very an unpleasant experience but I gotta admit your story made laugh hard .
I am glad that Echo wasn't damaged.

And y worst shipping nightmare happened when I was still living in USA but I had to go to Japan to issue some documents.
At that time I saw an Ika in cleareance, just the toy I was looking for!
So I made my purchase 1 week before going back to the USA. And everything was perfect until a typhoon stroke Tokyo and my flight was canceled and postponed until 5 days later!!

The problem? That my Ika's delivery was scheduled for a day after my arriving to USA and UPS people would always left the packages in front of my door!!

So my Ika was about 5 days outside my door, totally exposed!! And as you can imagine I was fearing the worst, that my little tentacle would be stolen because of that silly typhoon :(.

Thankfully, my neighbors proved to be decent people and the box was there when I finally got home :). But God, that was mentally torturing.

What the heck is wrong with people!? That was a very stupid thing to do:mad:!
I am really sorry that you had such a bad experience :(.
Some people can be real jerks.

And your story about the TV reminded my of a bad experience I had buying a drawer.

The guy called me to meet him in he parking lot and I thought he wanted me to show him the way. But no!!! The guy just left the drawer there!!! So I had to drag it (because obviously I couldn't lift it an inch, it was heavy and I am tiny!) to my apartment!!
    What an idiot!!
So I guess were are all together when it comes to deal with mean an egoistic people o_O.

Worst experience was a package being delayed by 6 weeks or something due to that icelandic vulcano that lead to a full stop of cross-atlantic flights a couple of years ago. But at least it was just my parcel stuck somewhere in the wrong country and not me.

And then there was the story of a parcel that would have arrived while I was on vacation. I tried to reroute it to a friend, but they ignored that request and delivered it to a neighbour instead - a neighbour that moved out a few days afterwards. Thankfully he handed it over to the new tenant.

Haha oh that second story is scary! So many people watching over a box nobody else should take a look inside.
I'm having my worst story right now. It's not too bad, just a little annoying.
After ordering I waited 12 weeks until I got so shipping confirmation. I knew it would take that long so it was no problem.
But that was already 6 weeks ago and I'm still waiting... Yesterday the company stated that they took will no longer make shipping with USPS available for international shipping as it doesn't take the said max 21 days but actually like 2 month. Well only 2 more weeks to wait if I'm lucky. Never ordering with USPS ever again.
