Doesn't even feel like a school week is coming up either. It's weird.

I'm sorta glad I don't have to deal with school anymore. :I I mean I have 2 classes left and I do online but eugh.
High school is a bitch. I can't imagine what college will be like. Hopefully since I'm going for Biology it will be a lot more enjoyable.

I like school, just not the classroom environment. I hate sitting at a desk listening to someone talk, or having to read a book.

I'm a hands on person. I learn by doing, not by listening.

Hands on is the way to go! It's so boring for me to want to learn and have to sit in a boring classroom. It really sucks. :I

That was one of the biggest problems I had with the school I graduated from in April.

You figure if you're going for an aircraft mechanic license, you'd get a lot of hands on experience? Nope, very rarely would we actually get "hanger time" and actually work on things.

My problem with the current education system. People use to learn by doing not reading

School was never a good fit for me. I enjoyed many of my classes, but the tests didn't work with me. I would get anxious and I would misread stuff. And my college included attendance as part of the grade, which was frustrating.

LOL My poor dog. He likes to go out to do his business after he has had dinner, but it has been raining so hard for the last half hour, that there is a bit of flooding in the front yard. He ran down the steps, stopped at the bottom, turned and looked at me as if to say why?
He skirted around to the shallows, peed and ran back in. Poor thing!

Hopefully it will stop soon, we're getting mud flowing down the middle of the street now'
I should have done the 'hershy hunt' sooner, but everything in the yard has now washed down stream.

yep, the mechanical engineering program at the college I'm attending is all a theory based education. you get more math and science than any human being will ever need and then when most of them graduate they don't even know how to use a wrench. I stopped in to observe a local machine shop where they make parts for people and they showed me an entire filing cabinet full of drawings college degree holding engineers had brought in that were missing multiple dimensions, had impossible to achieve geometry, or were just completely useless or too expensive to make. anymore having an education is just being able to show off a piece of paper at the end and say "look what I have!" not "look what I can do!"

I have a bad feeling that they are there teaching that, because they can't get a job using those skills alone, in the real world. :/

I find writing things down helps me a lot better as it is a menial task and creates a memory better

Oh yes you can. I had to teach a woman with a Bachalor's of Computer Engineering; how to do compoment level repair on a motherboard. She is now head of a group of repair techs in California (with only 2 months of Real World Experience)

actually you can, as an engineer all you have to do is design the thing, actually making the parts, building it, and maintaining it falls to the "undereducated" but vastly more skilled lower work force

So yeah...didn't last long with Luka. I've been pent up for the past couple of days and it definitely showed. Literally under a minute before I came hard, and man it was worth it <3
