Also, it looks like the photos of the speculum for sale is dirty, maybe clean it better before taking sales photos! Good luck on your sales.

Also, "new in package" would imply it was never opened before, but it seems like it's out of the package.

 

True enough that I did not explain that the pictures were used for illustrative purposes only, and were from my personal speculum that is identical but that is not for sale. Posting has been updated to reflect this, keep in mind that this board is of a sexual nature and you may see sexual related pictures when needed to illustrate the use of an unusual product.

Also, even though this is an adult forum, a dash of decorum would be appreciated, like - I don’t know -asking a question instead of floating vague accusations of misrepresentation, for example?

 

You're replying to a veteran of this forum and I think you need to keep in mind that no one shows pictures of any of these things in use here nor does anyone need to be shown how to use something. If someone's going to buy it or are interested, if they don't know they can look it up. There was no need for it. Just because these toys are used sexually doesn't mean sexual content is appropriate or should go along with it.

I think it might ease people's minds to see a pic of your opened one next to the one in the baggy to know you aren't scamming. Unfortunately we deal with scammers too often here.

 

Ah, I didn't mean to accuse you of anything, just simply pointed out the photos of the speculum appeared to be opened and used, and I assumed it was the exact one that was for sale. Editing to add in a disclaimer about those photos not being of the particular unopened one for sale sounds like a good idea! Good luck.

I have a suggestion to improve your ad, as I already have several stainless steel speculums, in all sizes available.

They are made to be taken apart and also to be boiled in hot water to be sanitized. So you should mention that and also take one apart and take a picture of what it looks like disassembled, so people see how easy it is to disassemble and to sanitize by boiling in hot water.

Thanks for the suggestion ! I was selling them as brand new, not out of the package but I can understand why people would be hesitant to purchase such an item and if they’re not sure that they could sterilize themselves once they have it !
