BD selling on Amazon?

I was surfing around Tumblr when I saw it mentioned that Bad Dragon is selling toys on Amazon. I then went to Amazon and sure enough there is indeed a Bad Dragon selling a few toys. They come in a few sizes and are all Prime eligible. So my question is is this a legit seller or what?

I just did a search there and didn't see anything, but then again, I don't have an account to verify that I'm over 18.

 

Confirmed in their newsletter today - handful of popular toy models and sizes are available.

And damn, so I guess that unfortunately DOES mean they are taking a step back from custom orders, and instead focusing more on premades.
lol I hope they fix all their recent quality issues.

 

If it's fulfilled by amazon then it should have the Amazon guarantee. The product is in their warehouse.

 

So if they are gonna do this why even sell from their website? I mean with a Prime membership you can get free 2 day shipping or 1 day shipping at a reduced price. It's just an odd move in my opinion.

 

Especially when you consider how much is usually charged for shipping, as well as the wait time for Bad Dragon to ship it out.

 

Well, yeah...but in the same newsletter, they also announced a pretty cool Night Shift limited time color!

It's interesting that on the Amazon page, they don't even get into a description of firmess or color. I guess you get a standard color as shown on the site?

 

Well, they did recently have that sale where they would refund you if it didn't ship within...what was it a week or something? I don't even remember. Maybe they were gearing up for this.

Maybe they are using Amazon to get rid of the adoption stock that no one buys?

 

That's a possibility I hadn't considered... It would work with ready-mades anyways, not so much with flops though.

My boyfriend works at Amazon...That's it I'm bugging him to get me a Nox for my birthday! (he gets a discount and I don't need to pay customs, its win win here)

 

Wow, that's weird. I never thought I'd see them selling on Amazon... Interesting.

 

Damn, I was hoping that going through Amazon might have made shipping a bit cheaper, but no they won't ship to Australia. Looks like I'll have to stick to second hand as I can't justify paying as much as the actual toy in shipping.

 

I guess if you get a toy from amazon and it has "defects" you have amazon's pretty good return policy to send it back?

 

Nice idea. But think about the constraints of selling through amazon, everything has to be in stock, and they have to have a large amount of stock which is all exactly the same. That rules out custom-mades immediately.

So even if they decide to start selling their full range on there, they will only ever be in a basic choice of colours and probably not much choice between firmness or extras such as cumtubes/suction cups. Much choice would just take up a huge amount of warehousing space.
Plus there is no option of selling adoptions through amazon either.

 

My guess the colors would only be in the toys signature coloring and (I hope) medium firmness. And yes my man is getting me a Nox this year, so I can cross it off my wishlist.

 

I highly doubt that the colors would be anything signature lol.

it will be solid colors only due to flop rates of fades and splits and such. Especially since they need vast numbers of exactly the same thing.

 

My guess is they'll actually be the colors in the pictures, especially because of amazons policies. That means that flint will be steampunk stud and the others will be their colors in their amazon pictures. (I'm too lazy to look at them right now but from the link in the newsletter I remember flint being steampunk stud and none of them were solids)

 

All I have to say about this is who cares? They won't even ship to Canada anyways...
