Hey folks. I’ve recently become enamored with anal play and insertion. I started with a Nocturne Small and had no problem in my first attempts at knotting him. Prior to BD toys I’ve used some less expensive/less quality dildos. I’ve since purchased a Medium Chance Flared, a Medium Pearce and a Large David. The Chance was a bit of a challenge getting the flared head in but once in I was able to hilt past the medial ring to the balls. I’m only able to get the head of the Pearce and the shaft of the large David but not the knot of the David or any significant part of the shaft on the Pearce past the head.
What recommendations if any do you folks have for training or coaxing to the next level of girth?

Patience. Get yourself relaxed. Try different positions. Use other toys to help you loosen up for the bigger ones. Lots of lube.

I'll get past the common advice most people will give you, and get straight to what help me the most.

Inflatable plug is for me the best tool you can use at first to go for larger toys.
Why? Because it's way easier to PUSH a big thing out (which is the natural way your body is built) than to force them in.
And you can go at your own pace, the size isn't set like a dildo.
So clean well, get tons of lube, and inflat/push inflat/push. Larger and larger :)

Inflatable plug is a great recommendation. Pump it a little bit, rest and relax. Then pump a little more. When you start feeling full, let some air out to relax, wait a minute and then add air back in. Stretching, but taking your time. This should be part of your warmup.

Also, when you want to size up with a new toy, a common suggestion is to make size jumps of .25 inch (diameter) unless you're really bored with the current size, then maybe .5" (half inch) diameter jump in size. It's not a rule, just a suggestion. But a jump of a half inch diameter can be a lot... too much, even. Read the size charts carefully. If you're shopping for toys, it's possible you might be "in between" sizes of the toy you want. It might mean that you should pick a different toy that will fit you better.

The knot on a large David is pretty big, you might need to get a smaller toy that you can train with in the meantime. Figure out what dimensions you can use now, by looking at the size charts for the toys you already own (for example, what are the dimensions on the head of the Pearce, which you said you can fit, or the shaft of the David). Get toys in that size range, or slightly larger.

Also, nothing wrong with using toys that are too big, and don't fit all the way in. That idea is actually kind of hot. But it's probably more satisfying to take a toy you can fit, all the way.
