See, that seems so interesting/weird to me.
They complain that fades have such a high flop rate, yet they are willing to dish out possibly hundreds of Steampunk Stud toys for Amazon?

I also wonder if this will cut into custom toy waiting time even more.

Or worse... people who order that specific set and it gets sent to them flawed, since the flaws can't be sold on Amazon. More worry with ordering custom made to orders now D:

isn't that why ZETA takes so long? because they make stock, and send to other sites. and if some site's store needs 20 Boxie the fox, they will make those foxes before someone's order(even if I got mine very fast)

    I dont think so.

If you look at the timing of this, I'm almost certain that they must have been producing the stock for amazon at the same time that their "2 weeks or it's free" offer was running. The most difficult thing for them would have been producing the initial batches of stock to launch on amazon, all they have to do now is produce enough to keep the stock topped up, if there hasn't been a big backlog in custom orders because of amazon already, then there wont be any delays in the future.

Plus even if they sell a lot through amazon, it will be mostly to people who would have ordered from BD anyway so selling through amazon isn't going to increase their total workload much.

At most, selling through amazon will have the main effect of being an advertisement for BD, driving more new customers to buy from bad dragon itself.

Somehow, I don't think posting your products on a HUGE and popular site like Amazon is going to 'not increase their workload much'.

Hundreds if not thousands of people will see the product, be interested, and most likely order from the amazon page rather than through the site itself. Less of a wait time, and cheaper shipping. Plus all they have to do is click right there and pay, rather than going off site, placing an order and waiting.

Yes, that's true, but the main appeal of BD toys is their uninque-ness. People really enjoy being able to custom order colors and glittery toys to the point that we'll pay 30+ dollars JUST for a cool, complicated color combo. I feel like producing toys for Amazon will make them have to train their cocksmiths a bit more so they'll probably be getting better about quality, or at least listing moreflops that don't make the cut.

That last point seems to be true. I'd forgotten about the Amazon thing, but as the flop drop weathermon I have noticed a significant uptick in flops of stock and toy-exclusive colors in the past month. Good for people who like it, but makes for a pretty unexciting drop for those of us who like the wild rogues with experimental colorations (like those opalescent neons I shared with tumblr, which are still getting likes and reblogs 2+ weeks later).
