Lube question

So I made a quick trip to the store, and with my mom in the car I just quickly grabbed a bottle I thought was water based and left. When I got home I was reading tje ingredients and I'm not sure if it's waterbased now. I kept trying to look it up but ironically I cant find this product online with the same ingredients. Can anyone tell me if any of these ingredients would harm my bad boys? Thanks~

I think it's water based. Silicone based ingredients will have a "_cone" ending in their name.

Examples of silicone based ingredients from my Astroglide label: Dimethicone, Cyclomethicone. You did not name any "cone" ingredients in your list.

I am not a chemist or expert, but that's my understanding.

 

Here's an article about lube, it's a little old but should still be accurate. They say that glycerine is not ideal for vaginas. It can lead to yeast infections, and the osmolality (whether it absorbs water) is not good. If your lube absorbs water, it can have a drying effect.

You may not need to immediately throw out your lube if you are a vagina owner, but I would not buy that one again. I don't think it's an emergency situation, and you can still get some use from that lube while you figure out other lube options. For water based lube, they recommend Sliquid (which I have used, and I like a lot). You might have to mail order that, unless there is a retail adult shop in your area. For mail order, lovehoney.com has been good for me, and Sliquid should also be available on Ebay and Amazon (maybe cheaper than Lovehoney).

Not water based, but another lube recommended for vagina owners is "the Butters" which is a little expensive, but really nice. Mail order only, I think. It's oil based, and vagina friendly.

For butts, I like Boy Butter which is oil based. It has a tiny amount of a "_cone" ingredient but only in a trace amount*, and it's not supposed to be an issue (and it's never been an issue for my toys, after several years of use). Boy Butter is similar to the Butters except the Butters is 100% natural, and Boy Butter is not. Boy Butter is also much cheaper than the Butters. The Butters is good for vaginas -- I don't know if Boy Butter is good for vaginas or not. I think both of these lubes may stain fabrics in some cases.

I also like K-Lube for butt stuff, which is a powder you mix with water, which is like BD cum lube but way cheaper (and clear, not milky white). It's super-duper slippery.

*ingredients on labels are listed in the order of most amount first, to least amount last. So if water is the first ingredient on the list, then there is more water than any other ingredient.
