well im usually on here every other day im cleaning up the sales threads currently...theres at least 500 so its taking some time... helpful hint---- if you have a sale post that has been sold please alter the title to sold please
You also shouldn't hold the admin of that site responsible for the actions of others, the censoring just made the whole situation worse. Anyways if you're actually devoted to reviving DH, best of luck. The more dragon dick websites, the better? I guess. Also Zaphora, I've not seen an active member of staff for the majority of the time I've been here and I used to frequent daily.
I can hold the admin of the site responsible for starting 29 conversations with people trying to bypass the word censor and tell them to join that site however. Bun has now been banned.
Welp, I mean I personally would like to know options of different sites, I still use BD forums and you aren't censoring that site? but then I'm not big on the whole dick measuring contest this has become. People should be allowed to check out new sites, people would go back and forth on both and If I wasn't on the discord I'd like to be informed that there is a site that caters to me. All you've done is throw a massive hissy fit and then blocked people from entering your play fort for not knowing the password. Eventually, this is going to backfire on you, trusted buyers and sellers are leaving, there are rumours of a possible scam happy possible Mod which is beyond problematic. I just wish you'd made these decisions beforehand we wouldn't be stuck in this if you'd just gotten mods when it started to pick up again months ago, so really I don't understand what your moaning about I mean really you should have seen this coming. After all your a business owner when a business becomes shitty it gets replaced.
As I mentioned previously, every other time the people have had the common courtesy to ask before. I have never said no. Until today. I extended an olive branch to resolve the issues by inviting them to have a chat, to have that person then throw it back in my face refuse because its some sort of "power play", in fact I was gauging the response to see if they were genuine, which turns out, nope they wern't, because they then used their unrestricted account to start messaging people in secret. But its fine, at least I am now validated in the decisions I have taken today.
Wow the new users are really pissy. This place was dead for literal years and you all show up making demands and complaining that a site created when the bad dragon forums announced they closing 4 YEARS AGO doesn't have an active mod team. We had active mods and they all stopped coming when the original users all moved to skype and eventually telegram to chat for convenience. Give BDCA a break, this isn't his job and it isn't his problem, you're responsible for who you trust and all mods can do is stand up against repeat offenders. As far as I'm concerned you're all squatting here because you don't have other options, you didn't make this site relevant, it only came up as a toy-selling alternative because my friends and I used to hang out here every day and a few of them remembered the URL when you needed a new place to hawk your cocks. You're lucky it exists at all. BDCA paid hundreds out of pocket monthly to support a dead forum on the off chance that it might be relevant again some day and you're in here complaining he didn't do a good enough job worrying about the last thing on his list of priorities. I don't know where you people get off.
I"ve been thinking about this. yes, the BD forum 2nd hand refugees did swarm here for a safe haven. thank you for providing that and then it kept crashing. and there was minimal contact with the owners/mods so, someone makes a replacement. YAY! this is great. we have no idea if or when DH will come up again and mourn it's loss. If I'd been the one with the replacement I actually would have spammed DH with info on the new site. I would have had NO idea if DH would stay up or it it was a brief flicker, mind you. But there would have been a chance to point people to another 2nd hand place. think about it
Well put Exeter. I've been here since the early days and BDCA has been nothing but generous in paying a good chunk of coin to run this site for no tangible benefit to himself. He's been very relaxed and I've never seen him wield the admin powers unless necessary. Yes, the site did slow to a crawl for a while and this was nobody's fault. It was a natural decline due to a variety of factors. The site has been revived primarily due to people seeking an alternative place to trade silicon and a few of the old guard sending people this way. The proposed shift towards a more sales based forum seems logical to me as that is the vast majority of traffic on here. Although I'd still like to see some of the more social discussions remain as well. The recent downtime has been unfortunate and somewhat frustrating. But we've got to remember that this is a not for profit website. Technology will fail and it's not like there's an IT department on call 24 hours monitoring the website to make sure it's all working. I'd like to take this opportunity to thank BDCA for all his efforts in providing this forum for all of us. If I can be of any assistance in keeping this place running smoothly I'm happy to help where I can. On a side note, I hope you're not too badly banged up from your crash and that the car (the lambo?) isn't in too many pieces. That's a seriously quick pace to be having a tyre let go.
I've not been here for long as I'm one of those second hand refugees from BD. I'm grateful this site exists and I managed to buy and sell some stuff on here, with no scams. But from my point of view I can't but sympathize with the opposition in this regard. From when I joined until yesterday, the moderation was non-existant. The second-hand forum wasn't acted upon in a long time even before my arrival, being full of [sold] and "please delete" threads. The news and updates section with posts of how to deal with the site with little public discussion on the actual outcome. Just by accident reading that the focus seems to have shifted to a telegram group that wasn't announced. From a newcomer perspective, this site didn't exactly make the impression of being a safe and jolly place for doing business, and the other subforums weren't any more active than BD's hidden forum. Then the recent downtimes happened, and I didn't know where to go for information. I read older topics about an eventual closure, which didn't happen but wasn't replied to either. So I assumed the site was gone. Until a few days later it was back, with no official statement, just to go down again after some time. Truth be told, I too thought about creating an alternative website, and with all the inactivity of mods and the admin (from what I experienced), I too wouldn't have thought about trying to contact you to figure something out. I thought this place was abandoned after all. And now that alternatives started popping up, this site seemingly does a jump in official activity, giving an update to the forum and the second hand rules. I can't help but be confused. I don't understand why this happens only now, accompanied by drama alerts.
FWIW, I have always been contactable at forward@dragon-hoard.com which sends a message directly to my work phone.
Dragonhoard is still up and running 100% we just have had some issues with disc space (multiple posts) it has been corrected and we are working on the scammer issue currently
Added a new thread for trades only...trades between two people and it was successful. Feel free to post your trades on the new thread.
