Do you know how much the slepnir would be to the uk? Any idea how the eu/uk taxes work? Since its used is it still subject to import charges? V interested though, never had a toy with a ct, would make an awesome warm up toy to get lube deep

Seriously though I'm looking at how it applies to second hand goods today. I will assume that because customs haven't been paid on the item coming in to the UK then you would still have to.

 

it doesn't make much difference if it's new or pre-loved. for an import to the uk there will be:

VAT on the value of the goods
VAT on the shipping (it's a 'service')
possible import duty (see below)
if it's sent by courier (UPS/DHL/FexEx, etc) it will be subject to an 'admin fee' maybe 10-15GBP plus VAT. this is the fee the courier company charges for (a) acting as the recipient's agent clearing the shipment through customs and (b) for paying any fees on the recipient's behalf. all courier shipments are cleared while in transit.

if it's sent by post... that might be avoided. the postal service (Royal Mail) handle millions of items every day and only a random sample is selected for full clearance, so there is a chance the package might not be subject to customs. however, if it was, all the charges I mention above would be due.
possible import duty: the duty is determined by the harmonised code used in the paperwork. I used to order dildos from the USA and mine was one of the first orders they'd sent outside the USA. I told them to call US customs and ask what code to use. they were horrified, but as I used to export all sorts of strange stuff out of the uk, I knew they wouldn't be bothered by the question. their answer:

I will add:

after 'brexit', the uk hasn't got its act together and set up all the relevant facilities to process all imports from the EU, so it might get through with no charges. but the charges I outlined would be the maximum. if you do send it to the uk, ask your shipper for advice on the harmonised code you want to use.

I asked about the Arkane Gorgon. I have found Arkane on Etsy, but Gorgon isn't listed. I was after the measurements, but I hadn't noticed them on your listing, so have them now.
