I wish I could have a shopping problem.

Instead I'm constantly worried about bills, and helping my bf pay for his POS car...otherwise, me nor him could get to work and pay for the POS car and the roof over our head that we hardly get time to spend in...

it's a shitty cycle lemmie tell you.

 

Well to be fair it's not always 4chan who does this stuff. Any one on any site with enough friends and enough computers can do a DDOS. It's not always 4xhan, to me it seems like they're the scapegoat for a lot of cyber stuff.
Though I DO wish we new what was going on and who was doing this because this really sucks. T_T I wanna see new arts by my fave artists....and news on Kyell Gold. (I am a HUGE fan of him.)

 

I love FA, I really do.
it's where the bulk of my followers are, it's where I post most of my art, and it's where I have the most friends.

However, I hate how it's run, and I hate that proper and competent staff is never hired. Ever.
Also, the site has been the same for years now. No security updates to prevent future attacks, and obviously, this isn't the first DDoS to ever happen to the site so like...wtf, haven't you learned your lesson by now???

@Z'haruul: I'm not agreeing with the person that posted that who blames "chantrolls", but I've heard from a friend of a 4chan mod that thinks it's the Anonymous

 

Who really knows who it is, thing is we will probably never know. But Anonymous can be anyone from what I know they're not really an organized group. They are literately anyone. *Shrugs* I could be wrong though there is probably a group out there with that name. I'm just going by an old school way of thought.

What a boring Friday spent arguing with everyone.

 

I was thinking this yesterday... I was at the Wine shop and decided to get something for when I finished my diet/training. It's a special occasion, so champagne seemed like an obvious choice, and go big or go home, right? Well now I have $170 less and can't wait to finish my diet.

 

I survived through the week, now I have to survive the weekend.

Well, DDoS attacks aren't affected by security measures. It's just a result of how a website works. Someone sends a ping, the site processes that ping. Someone with a lot of (usually hacked) computers at their disposal, all pinging the site at the same time makes it crash. It's like a million people trying to stand in the same room. If you want a bigger room, that can hold more people without the doors getting clogged, you have to pay more,which isn't something FA can really do on a limited budget. And you can't turn away these pings, even on the basis of being repetitive, because every time you go to a new page, it pings again, even if you just refresh. Basically, you're walking back into the room. A website can't determine whether people are walking in to actually hang out, or if they're walking in to crowd the place.
