When he handed me my envelope and I could see cash inside it so I thought he just paid us in cash so we wouldn't lose any money to taxes. Nope I got a check and a good bit more.

hmmm, I could use some advice

Someone on the old forums is asking to purchase the Crackers I have up for sale, but the buyer has zero posts, and only joined the forum December 23rd. I don't like doing business with someone I can't "get a feel for", but no one else has expressed interest in over a month. Should I go for it??

got a bunch of candy and a wet/dry shop vac. pretty good christmas haul, probably more candy in the stocking tomorrow.

 

The optimist in me says "Go for it! Just cause the person may be new doesn't mean they'll be shady"
The realist in me says "I would probably not go for it without talking to them a little bit, maybe ask for a skype."
The overall me says "Just make sure you get paid first. Paypal is really heavily biased towards the buyer and generally screws over sellers more. If you feel good about it go for it, otherwise I would say to not do it or talk to them more."

 

I usually have had non issues selling to anyone hahah.

 

I have been awake since 10 AM yesterday, and I spent 15 fucking hours driving home from NC in Christmas Eve traffic. God, I wanted to cry when I had to leave, distance can go fuck itself. It's okay though, I have alcohol, and these three lovely vinyls my girlfriend got me.

 

Hooray for cooking excess food! Just cobbled together our Christmas dinner (we do ours on the 24th) from the huge batch of chicken mole poblano and sweet potato enchiladas that I made for our annual solstice gathering last Saturday, plus leftover frozen stuffing from Thanksgiving, a lonely wedge of brie, salad greens, etc. And there's STILL mole left for tomorrow!

So full and content right now. But those last remaining Nanaimo Bars are calling... hope I don't explode like that guy in Monty Python's The Meaning of Life!

 

The nanaimo bar is only wafer thin monsieur...

 

And I'm officially done with work for two days! I got a nice glass of Rum, have changed into a comfy robe and have nothing planned for the rest of the night!

 

what's the use in two days off if everything is closed down? if I wanted to sit on my ass and stare at my phone I would have gone to work.

 

A day at my Parents for Christmas, then a day to just relax and not care about anything, maybe read a book, dunno. Doesn't matter though, don't always need to go somewhere when you got some time off.

 

I don't think I have the kind of relationship with your parents where I can just show up at their house.
