I don't know where I would meet people where I live.

 

Today's been a good off day. Got to do a lot of vidya gaming, which hasn't happened in a while. I work again tomorrow, but then I get two days off in a row. Looking forward to it. :3

 

That has pretty much been my day as well. Leveled from 73-78 in WoW. Stopped for a bit, then got invited to a bit of Counter-Strike. Got a much needed upper body workout in (well, it's in progress.) Planning to hop back on WoW to catch up in levels with my friend (they have an exp bonus, so there's always a gap.) Going to watch Mostly Walking later. Want to find time to toy somewhere in there...

All in all, a maximally unproductive, and enjoyable, day off.

 

Evening all, did some re-arranging in my apartment and got my new fridge and such.

been a long day but surprisingly upbeat and positive. Been looking into my college options and am working on transferring to a Business administration degree from my Biology Major. Finally no more math, or foreign language! A friend I made on the other forum gave me a nice we-vibe and in return I am making some polymer sculptures and I am about done. It was both refreshing and stress reliving as I enjoy working with clay. Putting the finishing touches on the figures and will be posting pictures shortly. Also my EE Cody has shipped and will be here Wednesday! For once a good day...

 

Unlike me, after realizing my supervisor was being an ass by correcting my info on rules in front of guests. When my info was correct. Then asking me if I knew what was needed to be done for closing. And telling me the last race is at 9:45 when it hasn't been for MONTHS.

Treating me like a J1 student. Like a new employee. He knows better. Fucking irritated me. Didn't help that prior to that when I told people that the last race was just about to start and that we weren't taking any more people they bitched until I was like fuck it...and one guy already on wasn't listening to anything I was saying And kept irritating me. Dumbass.

So yeah something I get to talk to.my boss about tomorrow before said supervisor.does cuz I don't need that when I was officially told I could be in charge at go karts. Fuck. Me.

People seem to think the power of the statement rests in the "born in the wrong era" part. But I think the power really comes from just how deep that expression is. It's connection captured beautifully. It's wistfulness, but so much more. The last frame is almost irrelevant to me. It would have been enough to know she was appreciating something that moved her. I don't think I've seen that kind of satisfaction drawn many times before. I don't think I've seen anybody capture what it feels like to be alone in the universe with a moving, pleasing, inspiring experience quite in that way. I just think it's really beautiful.

 

My room smells delightfully of tea. ...which I set on fire. ...and then took a mouthful of smoke.
Smoke from clove numbs the tongue and throat; probably no other benefit (drawback, I suppose).

Setting things on fire is too much fun. Someone take the matches away.

 

Morning... I feel exhausted and I have a long week of work ahead of me...

 

I know this feeling Jazzi, my bosses recently made one of my employees (who btw doesn't know shit from shinola about the job in all reality) a barista trainer....as soon as I found out I was like "...Oh sweet Jesus Christ all the new employees who get trained by her are absolutely royally fucked"
That and it doesn't help that I have severe issues with the assistant manager and no one is willing to grow some balls and do shit about it.
For me I know to just shut up, but when people begin under-minding me and treating me like I don't know shit, that crosses the line.

Welp, spent a little bit of money today and managed to get a new bass pedal for a great price, a new cable, and a bunch of picks.

 

Well, I had a very interesting long weekend... Cooked a whole bunch of stuff on my smoker, spent a lot of time with my 16 month old niece, and had to boat in a snow storm...
