Soon as you're feeling better :3.

@AdorableDurian insanity is not something I would do, personally, but that's because it's not really sustainable (and I would hate myself after a week :p) If you want to make a lot of progress quickly, it will work though!

Once you're done with that, try and find something you can maintain. Something you enjoy.

Oh, I've done the program before, I still think it's a pretty damn good home program, I just find it's a rough one to start, especially the first week. Only reason I stopped last time is because I got super sick, and for whatever reason lost motivation.

It's good. It'll make a big difference for the time invested.
    It's just hard!
In other news, I might have a date... again. Maybe. So time for another round of looking my best! Due date is early January. Going to add an extra "intense" day to my regimen and start trying to lose extra fat starting in December. Just in time for the holidays XD. No eggnog for me this year.

Ok, health kick mode activated... Getting into a routine of making myself and @Exeter healthy lunches and dinners, and going to see if a gym thing is going to work.

Don't worry, that is pretty common. Thanks to the standard anatomical build of females (more weight around the hips) as well as having less muscle mass overall, planks / push ups tend to be difficult. Fortunately there's always progression! Push ups and planks from the knees are just as viable if that is where you have to start. Once you can hold a knee plank for at least 30 seconds without too much trouble, you can move to the standard plank. As for push ups, try progressing to standard (feet on ground version) once you can manage ~15-20 from the knees.

Everyone has to start somewhere with fitness. The important part is starting, and then staying consistent.

Literally anywhere is valid, disregarding full-body paralysis.

    I lost 4lbs this week!!

For the past few months, I have been getting stronger at the gym, but still couldn't find the right eating pattern to cut down my fat. What good are muscles if I can't see the damn things under all my marshmellow fluff right? Well two weeks ago I heard my parents raving about yet another diet they had found that they wanted to try (which they do like every month so I didn't pay much attention). However, once I read it over myself, curiosity got the better of me. It was a modified version of the 3 Day Military Diet (posted below). Now I'm usually highly skeptical of "Miracle Diets", but this one just held too much appeal to me simply because it was short, cheap, didn't require accessories (powders, supplements, pills), didn't require exercise, and had pre determined meals. Now of course like any sane person I went online to research it and found exactly what I expected; not approved by any official organizations, division of opinion between doctors, and success/failure stories. Well I did it anyway, lost the weight and four days later its still off. I'll be going on it again tomorrow.

    Observations
First, I believe its safe to say this diet falls into the category of extreme calorie reduction (800-900ish per day). At first glance that looks pretty harsh, but in America we kind of have a pretty unhealthy relationship with food (deep fried Twinkie anyone?) that kind of skews our perception of "enough". I know my dad usually eats until he's full rather than controlled portions (then wonders why he has a potbelly). Secondly, this diet attempts to give you all the basic food groups in every meal. A lot of diets I've seen either eliminate one group or revolves too much around it. Finally, this diet really opened my eyes to just how much snacking I do. Not even 30 minutes after my first meal, I caught myself wandering into the kitchen to pick up a handful of peanuts. It was really difficult ignoring all of the goodies laying around the house.

    Adjustments
    • Because this plan has so little food in it, I could only assume it had fewer nutrients as well. To counteract this, I made sure to take a daily vitamin with my last meal the day before I started the diet, then another the 2nd and 3rd day with my breakfast (If you do this, don't choose a gummy vitamin, those have too much sugar, choke that chalky pill down with water like an adult!).
    • Even though the plan said I could exercise I chose not too for the following reasons: It would make me hungrier, my energy intake wouldn't possibly be enough to repair the exercise damage, and it said I didn't have to soooooo lol. However I did allow myself to hit the gym the second day after the diet was over, that way I would a full day of regular eating beforehand.
    • The plan gives you the option of coffee or tea. I opted for homebrewed Tazo teas because they're organic, no fillers and no sugar. I did however add the slightest smidgen of honey to mine, simply because I don't like bitterness.
    • Do yourself a favor and don't take the ice cream the diet says you can have. I know its the one and only dessert allowed in the plan, but thats the precise reason you should skip it. It will more than likely make you cheat. It says you can use flavored milk or yogurt as a substitute, don't do the milk either as those are loaded with sugar (especially chocolate milk). Your best bet is vanilla Greek yogurt.
    • Because dinner was the heaviest meal, I broke it up into two phases, saving the yogurt + fruit stage for later.
    • It was easier to eat all those veggies if I quick steamed them. Get a glass bowl, put half inch of water, cover, microwave until veggies are tender. Add a pinch of salt if you want.
    • Use the rawest, healthiest version of everything you eat. The tuna needs to packed in water not oil. Use an all natural peanut butter. Any meat you choose needs to be lean and preferably chicken or seafood.
    • Get creative. My toast was whole grain either spread with peanut butter or had diced hard boiled egg. Sometimes I blended my fruit+yogurt+water to make a smoothie. Spices are your friend, but don't reach for sauces.
    • Don't forget to drink water all day.

Overall I did great on this diet. I never experienced extreme hunger, dizziness, sluggishness or other adverse side effects, but your mileage may vary as I was acclimated to small, frequent, low calorie meals long before I tried this diet. I'll keep you guys posted on further developments. Btw you have to wait for 4 days after your first three days before going back on the diet

I think I would shrivel on that diet, Miss, but if it's working and satisfying, go for it! It's sort of a scaled-down version of what I eat (minus the toast, I don't eat bread regularly.)
