The "Good Mood" Thread

Not to royally jinx this for the second time in recent history, but someone I've been in touch with on and off for the past 8 months wants to meet me! We've got a tentative date set for early January.

Really excited to meet this person. They're nice, inspiring, amazing, motivated, ambitious... many positive adjectives. They're also into Bad Dragon toys, and might be even more of a health and fitness nut than I! Best of all, they seem genuinely interested in me.

They compared me to... a delicious cheesecake that, for some reason, has never been touched. That's good right? I've never been cheesecake before!

Last night/this morning was really nice.

This week, I had been kind of irritated with the guy I'm seeing (we'll call him S.) I was in a grumpy mood anyway, and he's really horrible about communication outside of physically being in the same space - he very rarely responds to texts, email, or messages on facebook. It was starting to feel very "out of sight, out of mind".

Anyway, I was going to talk to him about it but ended up not doing that. We got together yesterday evening as usual, and he'd been sick and had a bad day in general so it wasn't a good time. He pretty quickly got into a better mood with me around, though. So many sweet gestures - he bought another xbox one controller so I could play games with him, I gave him a pez thing my mom got him and he was genuinely excited about it lmao, he let me sleep in today and woke me up in pretty much the most gentle and cute way possible. Oh, and he's a little awkward about showing affection in front of our peers in the geology building, but when his professor and one of his friends came to pick him up for a trip this morning he gave me a goodbye kiss right in front of them! That made me feel rather victorious. XD Overall, he was just being awesome.

 

I don't know what has gotten into me but lately I've been in a "get shit done mode" and things are falling into place.

Ever since my ex left me and I got over the hurt I've been more proactive and less lazy. Hell even before I met her 3 years ago I wasn't this nuts about getting all the boring sundry crap out of the way. It's great too...I don't think I've ever seen the house this clean and it kinda showed me that the ex was indeed a very lazy girl...she never cleaned up and now the truth is in my face.

Cliche but I got the words "things always happen for a reason" in my head. All in all though, while I miss some good things about her I'm starting to realize it was definitely for the better. With all my free time I'm pounding through projects as well without distraction and being alone is kinda nice, I can toy whenever I want!

In the middle of the hellish shift I'm in, I just got to watch two old men who don't know each other bond over butterflies.

Spoiler: Potty talk

I was rewarded for my intelligence with the ability to poop.

Both the men's room toilets are clogged at work, so I thought I'd have to hold it all night. I can't use the women's room, even at 1am, because there's the slight risk someone might come in.

I remembered we have two "example rooms" on the ground floor we only rent out in emergencies, which happens like twice a year. I used the restroom in one of those, and I feel relieved and smart at the same time.

 

I have access to free cookies.

 

I'll be having the seasons first christmas beer tonight. Ho ho ho etc.

 

Bought new mouse and mousepad. So smooth.
The mouse is Logitech G402 Hyperion Fury

And mousepad is Logitech G240. Feels really good.

 

Boyfriend got the job!
He's so excited! I'm happy too, because I hated how miserable his old bosses made him. And the fact that they physically threatened him...

But yey! No more! He's actually VERY excited about this new job. Environment looks much more organized and friendly. Also, his starting wage is more than he was making at his previous job. He's also going to get 25 cent raises every time they teach him a new dish! (he's been a cook for years though, so I expect him to advance quickly. <3)

 

My weekend was so fucking awesome! I went to a cosplay/anime-con with my mate. I bought a small hamster plush and Japanese candy (and pokemon soda!) and some needlefelting things, had coffee and cake at a maid cafe, and watched the pretty people. My mate and I went home in the afternoon, had some nice talks about things, cooked tasty food (mac and cheese with extra veggies), and watched comedy (fluffy!). I had my first meditation session that lasted 20 minutes (doing a program again, first had 10 days of 10 minutes, then 10 days of 15 minutes, and now I just started 10 days of 20 minutes), which went well. And then we went to bed and had awesome sex with pain and orgasms and yay.
This morning we woke up, cuddled, watched a few Sense8 episodes (SO AWESOME YOU GUYS), played a game of Magic the Gathering (he won :'-(), tried out my plug, showered together (with lots of making out, and him washing my hair *purrrs*). And now he's on the train home, and I can relax some more and game a bit and read a book, and just have a lazy sunday.

So much nice!

 

Had a great night last night! Went to see Spectre with @Exeter and a friend. Really had a good time, thought the movie was pretty good, then went home and just sort of chilled for a bit, followed by staying up waaaay to late playing Fallout 4.

 

Ooh, someone relatively internet famous just followed me on twitter out of the blue!

 

Im feeling good today. ^3^ i helped an older gentleman who was down on his luck (perhaps homeless, i wasn't entirely positive) get a new pair of denim jeans and a new hoodie for the winter months to help him with the cold.
