Update. I apparently need either thicker sugar wax, need to apply more sugar wax, need to not spread it as thin, or I need something better than wax paper/parchment paper for pulling it off. Probably a combination. It got most of the hairs on just my upper arm with half a batch, 2-3 times as much as I thought it should take. Considering one batch used a full cup of sugar...

On the bright side, hearing my brother repeatedly ask if I even feel pain when I didn't, show a reaction, let alone yell after pulling it off as hard as I could manage.....was satisfying.

 

Uh, if the consistency is right you shouldn't need the strips.

 

Best part is it should be pretty cheap since theyll barely need to use any material for the mold.
