So now I have a day off to myself and I really should tidy. But I cannot be bothered.
I know I have guests tomorrow even so I must but I rather try and make a blooky plush.

I've never actually experienced one because I've slept through every single one we've had.

Are you saying it was a 5.0 on the Richter scale?
If so that's relatively up there for areas that don't normally get earthquakes.
The biggest one I felt was only a magnitude 3.8 in my town, but it came from a magnitude 6.9 earthquake that happened down in Mexico, some 50-70 miles from where I lived.

Yep, it was a 4.8 - 5 on the Richter Belmont...sorry...scale. :p Every time I see the name Richter I instantly think Castlevania hahaha!

If you've ever been on a boat in rough water that's what it felt like. Everything was moving...it wasn't rumbly but had a really weird swaying sensation to it.

    Hi.
Last time I posted I had asked the woman of my life to marry me and had posted up our first set of ultrasounds as well.
Bad news: that pregnancy resulted in a miscarriage on May 25th. Doctors said it was because of something being wrong genetically and that the baby had stopped growing after 8 weeks. It was very rough for us to go from that back to some normalcy, and we did it, but it's still a day and a child we will never forget.

Good news: we got pregnant again in July. She's 24 weeks along tomorrow, and the little guy is healthy and kicking around and getting pretty big. We've decided on Caspian as the first name, but we have absolutely no clue about a middle name, so, yeah. Both of us have been working our asses off to have the funds needed to get repairs done around the house on top of getting two new vehicles, since her 92 Crown Vic is dying and my Camaro is not kid appropriate. So yeah.

I'll try to be more active here but I won't make any guarantees since I'm literally working like 55 hours a week. So bye for now I guess.

Do take care. I'm very sorry to hear about the miscarriage, but hoping for the best for you two with the little one!

I think the most disturbing thing about earthquakes for me is hearing it before it hits.
It's that low rumble that makes you go "Oh shit, somethings coming and I can't see it!"

I usually like hearing a low rumble, knowing I can't see what's coming. Then again, I haven't experienced earthquakes, just thunderstorms and basslines.

Well earthquakes are kinda like thunder, just lower in frequency and last a little longer depending on the severity of the earthquake.
And I too enjoy bass lines, however I have yet to encounter a bass line that threatened to kill me by shaking stuff to potentially fall on my head.

I've experienced one earthquake. It was low level, but since it was in VA where there are NEVER earthquakes, it kinda freaked me out.

No earthquakes for this Guy either.

Although there was supposedly one in the Gulf years ago, and most of the western coast of Florida was suppose to feel it. Granted, it happened at like six in the morning, and my city isn't on the western coast.

Just checked my grades, and I failed 3 classes. My GPA is sitting at a 2.16.

This is not fun at all. The weird thing is that my Math class got a D (need a C or higher) but I got all the credits for it. I have emailed my student director/advisor about it as well as what I should be doing to graduate in Spring. I will be mad if I have to push it to summer. And I'm already taking an online course this winter, but due to distractions at home and my ADHD, I'm not sure if I'll be able to do 3 weeks....Welp, time to unintall my desktop games.

So good to hear from you! And sad for your misfortune.
Pleased to know you have tied the knot, just as I have, just over a month ago. You have an up hill battle ahead of you, but the rewards will be so worth it in the end. Do take care, and stop by when next you have some time.

Yeah. The 2011 earthquake is the only one I can remember being in. 5.8 in Virginia, and I was very close to the epicenter. I was at Kings Dominion, working. I was in the waterpark, and I felt and heard it. My first, split second, thought was the sound was from Stunt Coaster, before I realized it doesn't sound like that, and you can't feel it on the ground. I felt the ground shaking. Apparently the windows of the pizza place at the top of the hill leading into the water park were visibly shaking. Needless to say, everything shut down until the the rides could be inspected, and came up as fast as they could be inspected. They had to leave the coasters for last.

Speaking of earthquakes, my parents both survived the 1989 San Francisco Earthquake.
The pictures they took of the damage were incredible.
