Silicone plugs would have been nice, I picked my only plug up at a huge, three storey sex shop in Toronto, just outside the gay village :p

    http://www.docjohnson.com/buttplugs-smooth-classiclarge.html

It was one of these and I've only used it a few times. I generally only get it in after using a dildo, and even then I don't like that sensation I get when I pull it out. A bit too firm for me. And PVC smells quite strongly ><

Personally I have some doubts that Doc Johnson would be selling a product that is by definition unsafe for its intended purpose... but I don't like it anyways so it's not a big deal.

why wouldn't they? the toxic things are much cheaper than the non-toxic things and they have absolutely zero culpability or regulation so they have no motivation to be ethical. According to the Toxic Toy Coalition Report a doc johnson toy they had tested was 28% polystyrene-ethylene-butylene. "Styrene is regarded as a "hazardous chemical", especially in case of eye contact, but also in case of skin contact, of ingestion and of inhalation, according to several sources. Styrene is largely metabolized into styrene oxide in humans. Styrene oxide is considered toxic, mutagenic, and possibly carcinogenic". So really I wouldn't want to put that anywhere near my sensitive bits.

Well technically it's the phthalates that are added to PVC that make it not body-safe. PVC in general isn't necessarily bad for you. The plug @Exeter linked to is actually phthalate-free, so it should be fine.

But in general toy companies DO make toys that aren't body safe all the time. They always make a note to call them novelties and don't advise internal use (even though we all know that's their purpose).

and the label 'phalates free' isn't even close to a guarantee. there is no regulation in the industry that forces them to be honest about the content of their toys so they can and will lie out their ass about what is and isn't in the toy.

I had one of those for about a week (before I knew better) and it basically fell apart from the inside out. Whatever "shell" it has separated from the inner core and made it pretty much unusable because it would wrinkle up whenever it met any resistance and made really weird noises while in use. Was definitely one of those "get what you pay for" toys. If I were you I'd just toss it out now and save yourself the hassle (and stench).

Yeah, one of my toys has a strong chemical smell... but not sure what material it is, I threw away the packaging. It's not too big a deal, I throw a condom over it. I use it mostly to open me up. Mostly.

I sincerely plan to get a wolf dragon to test this before they go and make medium wolf dragon cost 40$ more xD.

And my knowledge the Mood Naughty is one's I'd recommend the tiny handle is perfect for long term use, since I've found alot of plugs I've had are just... no, hurt too much after a little while just having my cheeks compress against the large base that doesn't sit between them like say a thong or something would.

They changed the name of mood naughty a few years ago I guess xD remember it being something else

I have a wolfdragon, but to be honest, I don't use it much. It's really tiny and sometimes I can't feel the texture. As with a lot of my knotted toys, this one gets in, but won't stay. After my ass stretches, it's just as easily able t slip out. And I don't think there's that much space behind the knot (at least not as much as the legacy gryphon).
I'm not saying it a bad toy. I think he looks cute... but probably wouldn't have bought it for myself (and didn't know I needed more light for the GitD option).

The XL is just under 3" wide and the regular size is 2" wide, all silicone and just the shape I was looking for. Good thing I get paid this week :D

not a big fan of that chemical smell either. and i like easy clean up i just ordered a stainless steel plug. i like the ability to make toys cold or warm, depending on my mood, and a glass plug in my bum im gonna have to pass on that. soooo metals the way for me. cant wait to try it out.

My "biggest" gripe about plugs is finding a proper medium size.

The vast majority of widely available toys seems to come in a range that goes from a small with a girth of about 4", to a "medium" with a girth about 6". That jump in sizes may not seem like much but it's a pretty big gap.
It's especially annoying because plugs really are the ideal toy to warm up and progress to larger sizes. But the poor choices mean that unless you spend hours and hours searching different manufactures to build up a full range, you're stuck with a medium you have to spend an hour warming up for which sort of defeats the point.

Square peg does have the ideal sizes, but for the amount of silicone you get they're more expensive than bad dragon toys. And now I'm managing to work up to bigger sizes through other means anyway, so it's a bit too late for one.

I must be the odd one out, I've love chemical smells, I'd happily have a cheap toy sitting on my desk just to sniff. Although getting that smell stuck on my hands -or anywhere else- is still very unpleasant.

@Cogfoxz The plug I started with was a 5" circ "clasic" style buttplug from Doc Johnson. Which is a widely available brand. Should be right in between the 2 you've got, Altough it's rather firm. (which I personally liked about it)

I believe there was a 'platinum' series of it as well, which was silicone. So maybe that's one to look into.

Liking a chemical smell is one thing.

Liking a chemical smell on something that goes inside you, especially in sensitive areas, is a completely different matter.

If you can smell it, it's probably leeching harmful chemicals out inside you o-o

Yeah I always have my chemical smell toy wear a condom. I don't use him very often though.

Don't forget Gespenst makes a few nice silicone plugs and he does them in all firmness including splits.
I have a medium slim neck and an octopus, with a double bubble and a large angled plug on the way. I really like them, quality stuff.
