The Video Game Thread

Oh god I'm so unhappy about the prospect of having to upgrade to Windows 10. It's becoming mandatory.

 

I've had zero issues with Windows 10. Then again I don't play the games most here do.

 

I upgraded to Win 10 some time ago; so far no issues with games and whatnot.

 

Are you playing the steam version, or no?

And I haven't had any issues I can attribute to Windows 10. For anyone who hasn't upgraded, it's basically just a more polished version of Windows 7 with a few features imported from Windows 8. There's no reason not to upgrade other than being afraid of change. You can change all the security and information gathering settings you want, so you really can't say it's because of that. Every program that's still supported by the company that made it has been made compatible too.

Yes for the lunar new year or Chinese New Year. I do believe it's the first time steam have done it for this yearly occasion.

 

Speaking of Win 10, this new laptop I'm on has it. Not too horrible after I got rid of all the bloatware I could.

Still, my main rig (the tower) is staying at Win 7. No ifs, ands, or butts.

 

Yeah, when I built my computer, I specifically bought Windows 7, because A: It was cheaper, but mainly because as soon as I installed it, I could clean-upgrade it to windows 10 to automatically delete all the bloatware. The Windows 10 update doesn't contain any bloatware, just some questionable settings that you can easily change before it finishes installing.

 

I tried to fix settings that I could, but there has been nothing evident to fix the problems I've had with it. Some of the things I tried to fix I had to go deeper and it still made no difference even when I researched the issues. For now I've given up until i can get a new computer that will start fresh with Win 10. I think it was the act of upgrading that screwed everything up. There's basically a new Admin that was installed in the upgrade that has taken priority Admin control. I haven't figured out yet how to remove it without doing a clean wipe of the computer. And I really don't want to do that.

 

If you're a cat person why not try ねこあつめ (neko atsume) a cute casual game on apple or android devices.

But if you're more of a dog person there is ぼくとわんこ (boku to wanko) though sadly only currently available for Japanese user of apple and android devices.

Hope they make a bird one so I can collect so many budgies, lovebirds, cockatiels, plus many more cute parrots and parakeets.

That sounds like a pain in the ass.

 

I'm so disappointed with the amount of free-to-play games I've come to love that have been absolutely ruined by greedy and lazy developers.

 

It looks like I finished GTA V main campaign. It was... disappointing. I was expecting something more out of it.

It's still a good game, though GTA IV had more... depth? I don't know. Maybe Nico was just more charismatic in my opinion than Trevs, Frank and Mike. Easier to identify with.
