Well, that long day wasn't for nothing, but it could have been better. The car show was fine but the weather kept a lot of people away. It's very overcast right now, and I'm surprised it hasn't rained yet.

Find a coffee shop that sells hot fresh soups and sandwiches. Once you're sat down with that and it starts raining, you're officially living life.

Got stupidly windy ripping off some of my skirting. Tried to repair it and sadly some of it blew away. Got myself cleaned up and looking good. Might snag a picture and toss it on the clean thread.

Been getting into anime again lately and at the moment im watching Kill la Kill and it's so awesome ! Granted absolutely insane but even though it shows ALOT of tits ass and blood noses, it's never really irritating like say in ABS or SAO (ugh!)
Also finished season 1 of One Punch Man. Was told it's a parody taking the piss on other shows but fuck man its so damn cool to watch. And funny as hell.
Absolutely love Genos as well.

Also, I've not personally seen more than glimpses of SAO here and there, been meaning to watch it properly, but you say it like it's an Ecchi.....fairly sure it's not? On the other hand my understanding is that Kill La Kill manages to put in more of that than MOST Ecchi do, yet still holds water as a series with good storyline and character development.

 

I'm talking about HOW they do it, not the amount of times they do.

Basically those types of scenes where it holds no purpose and feels really out of place.
I don't believe I know what Ecchi is... I watch anime but im not a hardcore fan or familiar with all the terms sorry.
In SAO, especially the second half of season one, there's sooo much of those uncomfortably borderline rape-y feeling moments, because asuna is held captive and is constantly being touched against her will, but they go way over the top.
Watch it and you'll know what im talking about

Such a good concept for a story and so badass. But it's murdered because of overdone Anime Troupes (as Akai has mentioned here a while back)

Ah, yeah. I never really pay attention to the Ecchi content because it's not what I'm watching the anime for, so it doesn't concern me. If it's story or characters don't hold my interest, I simply stop watching. So, I can actually say I enjoyed ABS for the most part. Again, haven't seen SAO properly, I know my brother raves about how great it is all the time and it's general concept that I have heard does pique my interest.

Also, clarification: Ecchi is the term used for anime that features a larger-than-average or focused amount of near-erotic or erotic content, without earning the rating of Hentai (though in many cases they can still net an 18+ disclaimer). If there's one or two moments where the wind blows and you can manage to see under her skirt for a brief moment, it's probably not Ecchi, but if it's being done often or substantially enough that it feels like that's the PURPOSE of the anime, it's Ecchi. Another way of putting it in the more blatant cases, soft porn, or porn for folks who for whatever reason don't want to actually watch porn. Perhaps they're ashamed or scared of the stigma of seeing nude characters having sex, so they stick to seeing them in perverse situations or offering up perverse views.

I've watched two Ecchi as it stands, that have held decent story and characters. I'll refrain from naming them for the reason that they may bother some folks, not paying attention to the sexual moments let me enjoy the story. Aside from those, I personally wouldn't consider Spice and Wolf to be an Ecchi despite at least one scene in memory where Horo is very clearly nude and a few talks of adult nature, because they were a part of character development and in the case of the nudity scene was completely fitting yet not pushed in a sexual nature.
