seems to be a common misconception people have that they can ask any content producer to do anything, even if they specifically say they won't

@Misskin it's not that I'm opposed I just can't think of a good reason to do it beyond a few people asking. I really don't want to alienate the fans who have no interest.

I can at least sorta relate. I've occassionally pulled a few non-damaging fast ones on a few less-computer savvy friends for laughs, and managed to get my brother (who is INCREDIBLY computer illiterate, and generally refuses to educate himself on pretty much anything as long as he believes someone else is around who can just do it for him) with downloading more RAM of all things.

Of course, I'm not the most computer savvy person either, so I expect to fall for quite a few pranks myself should anyone have the mind to try me.

 

Opinion: Is 4-5 months too soon to move in with a peton you are in a stable relayionship with? So far ice been getting yeses and it is kinda putting me down.

Only if it would mean you'd have nowhere to go if things went bad. Just make sure your bases are covered.

Yeah, sorry, I'm gonna have to jump on that bandwagon too. Personally, I feel like to 4-5 months is too soon to call a relationship "stable." I just don't think it's enough time to get to know someone enough for that big a step. But if you are going to do it, I agree with Exeter. Make sure you have a contingency plan for if things go south. No one wants that of course, but you have to cover your ass. Even if you love someone, you always have to look out for you. Nothing is guaranteed.

 

Agreed about the moving in stuff. S. and I decided to live together at about 9 months in. By the time it's all official, it'll be at 11 months. We love and trust each other, but even so, we've signed separate leases. It's just a good idea at this point, and there's no offense in it. Full honesty, even if I married someone I would keep separate bank accounts and whatnot. I'm too independent for a joint account.

 

I'm also too independent to live with someone. I'm a man who enjoys his privacy.

 

I definitely believe in keeping your own bank account no matter what. But a joint account is cool too for jointly agreed upon couple's expenses (furniture, other home goods, vacations, etc.).

 

@GuyStripes I enjoy peace, quiet, and privacy too, but being in a relationship and living with my partner doesn't really take any of that away from me. Just gotta make sure my partner is good with spending time apart which is important for everyone. I'm like a cat. Content to be solitary, but I like being able to cuddle when the mood strikes.

I just enjoy the peace and quiet living alone brings, even if it does get a bit lonely. Sounds bad, but I would like the ability to have people over and send them off at a whim.

 

So my mom and I may be getting a dog.
However there are a few things that my mother and I are concerned about but otherwise we're both in love with her.
We have to think about it before making a decision, but I really hope we get her, she's adorable.

 

Personally I'd say it's jumping the gun a little. Granted, you know the person locally rather than long distance, so chances are you have more info on if it's a good or bad idea, only thing to consider is that emotion may be obscuring things. Granted, if it winds up not being such a good idea....presumably you're not as SOL as I was in Denver.

I personally believe that both a limited (for BOTH parties) joint account and two separate personal accounts is better. One should have their own earnings aside from the agreed upon pool of resources under their control, not where the other can take it. And even though one will say the other wouldn't/shouldn't, mistakes can happen, then there's the fact that time and time again I've seen cases where one party shows their true colors and establishes themselves as the owner of everything.....
