Woke up this morning with my leg hurting, the one I hit on a steel door. Left work early to get it checked out as it hurt whenever I sat down or stood up, or whenever I crossed it over when I sat down. Had to get a few X-Rays as it could have been something serious (bits of bone pulled away by the tendons). Nothing on the X-Rays, so we're treating it as just a bruised bone. Got it all wrapped up in one of those Icy Hots.

Recommended that I stay off it for today, and maybe tomorrow. I have confidence in my team at the dealership to handle anything that might pop up in my absence.

 

So there's some serious weather going on outside.
A lightning strike hit about 500-800 feet from our house, scared the ever living shit out of me. O.=.O

I have got to get more sleep on work nights. Yesterday was awful. Red, burning eyes from fighting sleep, full body pain (not ache, PAIN!), headache, lethargy, and to top it off, I work in a warehouse where the only climate control is in the café so for most of the day I was dealing with mildly stifling heat. This is what my 12hr shift was like for the most part. I stayed awake and on my feet (and probably alive) through sheer willpower alone. When I got home I just popped a handful of ibuprofen and went to bed. After a full 8 hours I felt like a new man this morning.

on another note I finally sat down and watched (or at least tried to watch) an episode of steven universe to get my friend to stop bugging me about it. how in the fuck is that cartoon supposed to be the flagship for LBG/trans rights? that would be like claiming power rangers or zoids was a symbol for the animal rights movement

 

I watched that little special event thing last weekend and I thought it was pretty good. There are definitely LGBT overtones and it's full of positive messages about all number of things, as kid's shows tend to have. What specifically do you take issue with?

 

from the episode I saw it looked like any other kids cartoon, just kinda meh, I can see a little bit of stuff trying to hint at being accepting but I think most of the LGBT rights stuff is coming from the fandom built up around it

 

This tends to be the case with fandoms, they interpret something how they see fit. Like MLP being "about tolerance".

I'll stick to Madness Combat. I think most of us agree it's about guiltless comic violence. And Tricky. The Clown is love, The Clown is life.

I've been a fan of MLP:FiM since season 1, and yet I'm still confused on where this whole "love and tolerance" thing started, and what caused it.
