Yeah, many don't consider that the cost of large lumber is really expensive. Especially furniture grade.
My parents once had a heavy timber bed frame, wish I knew where it ended up. It was done in a 'southwest' style, and had a white wash type finish. I would mind having it now, but I know they paid at least two grand for it.

the kind of wrought iron work they wanted would have been the most expensive part haha they would have been okay with heavy pine timbers for the appearance but they apparently didn't want to pay me that much for the part that actually takes the most time, planning and work

on another note, gotta love it when you get up early, get ready for work, and drive all the way to your job to find out there's no work because of the rain. $80 that won't be in my next paycheck

 

I can't seem to figure out why, but about a month ago I stopped getting email notifications whenever I have alerts. None of my preferences have been changed, as far as I can tell.

My new work shorts and pants came in today. With both the weight and muscle I've put on, my older ones were a little tight and short.

I've been sitting and just ending up doing bits and peices of my Omega Squad Teemo for my friend's LoL group in November whilst finding out about the Dead Rising series (usually I'm not a fan of zombies but this really suits to my taste of dark humour alongside my love for Lolipop Chainsaw being wacky and quite intresting) and listen to the Dead Rising 3 Pyschopath's Boss themes. They're good to listen to alongside painting things and waiting for the hot glue gun to work.

 

I asked one of my friends if they would be interested in sharing an apartment with me. I will be saving up my money this week to move out of my parents. I'm going to start off by taking $350 of my check and hopefully have enough by the end of the month. My friend just needs to find a new job after she comes back from California.

Hey guys!! I'm alive and survived the cross-country move! (barely though)
I've finally got internet and have settled into my new apartment relatively well.
Start my first day of work at the new warehouse tomorrow. Not sure how well it's going to go but hopefully things work out.

So far I'm loving Vegas. I really feel like I've come back home, like I belong here.
It's strange cause I haven't had that feeling in over 7 years...and I'm at a new level of happy.
Yes this move was tough on both myself and my mom (physically and monetarily) but I feel that we're both much better off in the long run.

Plus my new apartment literally has everything in close proximity!!
All the restaurants and fast food joints I used to love as a kid and wasn't able to have due to being on the east coast are now all within a 3 mile radius of my apartment.
Plus my apartment itself is in one of the most convenient places in the whole complex cause its close to the laundry room, the dumpster, and the main office!!

Overall, I'm quite the happy dragon and things are looking up for me! ^.=.^
