With the recent drama storm I seem to have started, it seems like having admins and a list of seller reports or some other form of seller and buyer feedback system would help to keep users better informed and encourage healthy buyer seller relationship. That way the forums are not flooded with disputes and the like.

Would be nice to have admins for the Sale/Wanted section. Maybe senior forum members could be appointed admins? Have a couple people share duties, so it's not a burden on anybody. Even if there's not 24/7 coverage, having some oversight would be better than none at all.

I would nominate users Zaphora and lizardbreath, but you could also ask for volunteers, and/or maybe have people vote for an admin.

I'd be willing to, even if it was just simple pruning and limited access or something.

There should be a stickied warning about trading, and making sure timestamps aren't shopped, etc at the top, as well as maybe another sticky with usernames, and even possible zip codes (or some other vague, but defining factor of said scammers that gives you enough information to be wary, but not give too much information to doxx with) and a list of trusted users.

    That's just my opinion tho

I don't think that having an admin policing transactions and providing buyer protection is really the kind of business this forum wants to get into, because they probably wouldn't be able to prevent much. Most people who try to rip others off will just do it once and then change their info before doing it again. Then people are going to blame the admins or start trying to make the admins mediate sales. I think a stickied notification about basic safe purchasing practices, like Sleepy suggested, would be helpful though.

A "verified buyer/seller" user badge might be helpful. People could submit behind-the-scenes reviews, with documentation. In that case maybe a hands-off admin position, which is set up anonymously, rather than assigned to the admin's existing account, would work. It'd just be in control of looking through the reviews and possibly messaging people to clarify things, as well as assigning and removing badges as necessary. It'd need to be made clear that this wouldn't be a "dispute settlement" thing, more of a notification of who has previously been shown to not cause disputes.
