"Does anybody else...?"

This is a thread where you can post about things that you do, that you don't think others do. Little idiosyncrasies and ticks.

I'll start us off with this:

Does anybody else wash their bar of soap after they use it?

 

Clean stuff like door handles and the communal kitchen area at work (esp that disgusting microwave) when no one's looking?

 

Does anybody else take out ALL of the floating bits of veggies and meat and everything off their soups? (Obviously not when veggies are part of the soup itself, but when they're in the recipe and I just want my chicken stew clean of those leek parts for example)

 

No, but I take out the dehydrated peas in cup of noodles before boiling water. Rehydrated peas do not taste right.

 

Does anyone rinse their cup 3 times before finally pouring yourself a full cup of water.

 

Yep.

 

*high fives* my folks think it's weird I have no idea why I do it though.

 

That makes three of us, are they outnumbered now?

Does anyone else wash their trash can every other month to get rid of the smell?

 

I blow o/into my cups, bowls, and plates before using them lol;;
I also clean my soap after use!

 

I do that! It's the worst when you have an exfoliating bar of soap and long hair, because the hair likes to cling when it falls out and then it's hard to clean the soap without scraping it to bits to get the hair out ;_;

I also do this, especially the faucets in the bathroom

This too!

I don't do it to the trash can but I do clean our recycling can because we don't use a liner in it and it gets pretty gross with leaky soda and such.


Does anyone else get headaches so bad that your teeth ache and blinking hurts?

 

I use Nivia body wash, so I can't say that I do.

Nope! Then again I eat soup when its hot so I don't taste the veggies. Only hot broth.

Nope. I'll normally pour a small glass, taste it, then pour a full glass if it tastes fine.

Yep, every other month though.

I get headaches that make it hurt to keep my eyes closed.

Does anybody else sleep with half their body covered vertically? Like having your quilt, blanket, whatever only covering the right or left side of your body, instead of your whole body.

 

I forgot I do this automatically when I grab my breakfast bowl in the morning. As for the soap I use liquid soap. More bubbles that way. ;D

 

Yes, to start off. Usually in the middle of the night though I end up curled up in a coccoon and sweat. Or I kick off all the covers and wake up shivering. I'm a dysfunctional sleeper.

 

Does anybody else keep their own toothbrush and toothpaste in their bedroom?

 

I remember one particular situation where I came across a glass of water, dumped it out, rinsed it with water, then proceeded to get myself a drink of water from the same tap… then stopping, thinking for a second and saying to myself "why the hell did I just do that."

 

I do that sometimes. Sometimes I also end up going to sleep sorta hugging my blanket like a body pillow or something. I guess that counts as vertically half covered?

 

Does anyone wipe with their non-dominant hand? I do, and I couldn't do it with my dominant hand if I tried.

 

I've done the half-sleep covered thing. I don't know, regulating my body temperature is tricky. Hypothalamus, how do they work?

Murphy reminded me of something I thought was weird. I hold a soda can with my right hand and pop the top off with my left... I simply CANNOT do it the other way around. Try it... maybe it's just me.
