Hey, bagged milk is actually very convenient. It's less bulky, easier to hold and pour, and stays fresh for longer.

How is a bag of liquid easier to hold than a container with a built-in handle?

You just put a bag in, cut off a corner and you're ready to go. Much less heavy since the full 4 litre package is actually separated into 3 smaller bags.

I don't know, I don't find a 1 gallon container with a handle all that heavy. More cold than anything.

That involves an extra scissors and a jug. With ours you open the top and you're ready. It's a self-contained system.

Yeah, but our system is a lot easier for kids to handle without spillage. Plus even if you do drop the jug, there isn't going to be nearly as much spillage as if you dropped an open carton due to the difference in hole size. The bag system also allows greater ease in controlling the flow because you can make a much smaller opening, and simply increase the opening if you've made it too small. Likewise, if you accidently cut a hole that is too large, you can simply pinch part of it closed.

as long as the milk gets where it's going, I don't see what it matters.

Yeah, I lived in Canada for a short time and I remember using bags (had that exact same container above, except it was in yellow). Though I seem to remember cutting one edge open to pour out and a much smaller cut on the otherside... you know, so it don't slosh out or something.
Milk was so much more expensive there. Rich cows come from Canada?

Canadian money is worth less than american (hell, right now we're only 75 cents to your dollar), so our stuff is generally priced higher. Then again, that also depends on where you live in either country. One of my sister's american friends lives somewhere in the south, and milk there is even more expensive than ours.

Well, this was quite a few years back... 2006 or so? And this was way over in New Brunswick... don't ask me what I was doing there. I don't remember what the conversion was at the time. Gas was and guess always was stupid expensive. Like at the time it was just over a dollar per liter. Probably even more now.

Yeah, 2006 was a weird year for our dollar. It was on an upswing from 70-90 cents american, then it plummeted again.

Anyone else have a hard time lying down to go to sleep?

I can be sitting in a chair next to my bed, dead tired, but by the time I can move to my bed and lie down, I'm strangely wide awake.

I just tested, and sitting back in my chair, I was sleepy again within five minutes.

There was a gas station that sold milk this way in my home town in Minnesota. They quit sometime around 2006 or 2007. I haven't seen milk sold this way in the US ever since, and I've been through most of the southern states.

I was literally passing out in my chair, but ten seconds later, lying down in bed, I was suddenly awake and alert.

Yeah there have been plenty of times I walk into my house dead exhausted and as soon as I undress and lay on my bed I'm wide awake, it sucks so bad

I'm weird. Even when I was young, if I fall asleep on the couch and wake up. I can drag my ass to bed, strip down to my panties and go back to sleep.
But if I'm in bed and I wake up from any length of sleep, I can't go back to sleeping. ... save me Netflix.

None. I only lay in bed when I want to go directly to sleep.
