Their has been talk of guns here and there. I myself have two rifles a 10/22 bolt action and a 410/45 5 cylinder revolver. I want a Beowulf from Alexanders Arms
I like guns always have, I still to this day would love to learn to be a gunsmith.

Please share what pieces you have in your collection and what do you want to have.

Note: this is not a sales thread do not talk about selling guns here.

    But a 10/22 is a semi auto, not a bolt action :V

Right now I'm jonesing for a new shotgun and carry piece. Been keeping my eye out for a nice Stoeger O/U at a decent price, but I need to save more. Well, I need to buy my bike first so I can save for the right thing lol

Gun are illegal here, but I'm looking at getting into airsofting, if that's a discussion allowed ITT? I know merging the two subjects ticks certain people off.

I technically have a Winchester 12 Gauge Shotgun, though it's not really in my possession but that of the friend who bought it for me. He intends on taking me to a shooting range to practice with it eventually.

I have a fascination with guns but don't own any. I want to find someone to teach me but I don't have anyone.

I love guns and have always wanted to own one, but two things have always stopped me. One, they are very expensive. Two, I am a very proficient martial artist so if you are closer than 20 feet I am more comfortable with a knife/disarming you and if you are further than 20 feet, I have other options available (negotiation/running the fuck away). Otherwise, they are awesome and I hope to one day have one for sport shooting.

I currently own... zero firearms of any sort. I want to get my firearms (regular and restricted) license, but I need to find out whether I'm actually allowed to store a firearm at my apartment. I'd love to go to the shooting range. I used to have my license, but it expired long ago.

Everyone and their dog here has an SKS, and while I like the classic appeal and availability of them, I don't think I would want one. The firearm I'd love to own and take to the range the most out of nearly anything available would be the M1911.

@CreativeNameHere: I love the M1911 unfortunately my hands are too small and I have to get the 1911 defender.

@Robert Thompson I luckily have big-ish hands. Last I checked, at least, my handspan was 9" (from the tip of my pinky to the tip of my thumb with my fingers all outstretched).

@Kyvinaria That's good to know! If I ever wound up with an SKS, though, I'd probably opt for ammo that isn't super cheap to help limit residue left inside everything.

I guess this is all true. Lol. Good old Soviet guns. Build 'em fast, cheap, and mostly reliable! Can it hit a torso from a couple hundred meters out? Yes? Good enough! Sell them in bulk.

I'll have to do some research on weapons I like that I could actually own after I get my FAC.

I have an XDM 9mm. I'd like an ar of some sort, not a 22. Hope to get my carry license soon too.

Well being an Australian getting firearms is difficult and the options limited to bolt action/lever action rifles (no auto/semi auto). You can get semi auto pistols in certain smaller calibres but the licensing is a nightmare for pistols. That said I think the gun law reforms brought in by John Howard after the Port Arthur massacre were the right call.

That being said I do enjoy shooting the .40 cal Smith and Wesson M & P I use at work. Manageable amount of recoil, comfortable in the hand and no safety lever to forget about! Only problem is the soft ammunition and primers that get damaged easily when the ammo is loaded/unloaded regularly. There's been a few rounds that have gone off from being dropped from fairly small distances, fortunately nobody has been hurt.
