So, I'm calling it a generic name, as I intend it to be a thread for all of us, not just me. If any of you has been, is, or will be at a furry con - this thread is for you! Share experiences, photos, literally anything here. Anyways, I'll just start with mine. Some organizational stuff first : -The name was Futerkon (which is probably the polish lil' abbreviation of "furry con"), it was spanned between 5 and 8th of August. -The main theme was sci-fi. -Guest of honor was Titash - a web designer and artist from Lyon, France. Here is his FA where he keeps links to other sites he's on : http://www.furaffinity.net/user/titash/ (very warm, welcoming and fun person by the way, even more so when he's in the fursuit! His fursona is a suricate/meerkat.) So let's begin with photos! (as thumbnails to not take so much space ^^) I didn't really made much, as there wasn't really time to do those, and unfortunately my phone decided to be a shithead making all the photos blurry when viewed on PC, despite looking perfectly fine on mobile screen >.< Had to delete a solid chunk because they were unviewable, it's a real shame but I might be able to talk to some people with better gear who made photos as well, and get some. Or I might just get a better camera than my phone's. At least it should be better in next year edition. Speaking of Titash, here's him in his fursuit! And I have a photo with him as well! He was really nice to talk with when out of fursuit, but when he stepped into it - totally different person. Of course much more cuddly, huggy and all! He acts great. Next, other fursuiters! There weren't many of them at all, but due to temperature it was understandable. (now a cut here, cause I can only upload 10 photos at once, continuation in next post)
(continuation of previous post) The parties were great, my legs are still all sore from the jumping, dancing, everything. There was karaoke, playback show, dance show... Lots of fun This photo basically captures the essence of those : Other attractions included different activities - for example sauna, swimming pool (or swimming in lake if somebody prefers that), little color festival similiar to the one I have been to not that long ago, Jedi academy, jugger, and a team game that was spread over the whole con. Basically you got an envelope with instructions and orders, a few plastic coins, ship blueprint with list of working parts and 4 small stickers with classes + another stickers that were action tokens. (there were total of 6 if I remember correctly - soldier, technician, comm specialist, medic, captain and one more class I don't remember now) The catch was the fact that every house lacked the class needed to do the orders - so it enforced cooperation, trade, or even "fights" between teams. My team had to replace the engine (which was my deal, as I was the technician :3), and calibrate the comm data in antenna (for which we had to find a comm specialist). Overall it was very fun to play, but not much people participated, maybe due to heat. Then later, there was an auction from which 100% of the money raised went to charity. Different artists offered commission slots, and there were some items as well - mostly some minor stuff, but a few quality artwork pieces were there as well. Overall it was great! I'll post the stuff I brought back from the con, but the upload speed is killing me, it seems to be my internet.
