    Alrighty folks.

Here's a place where you can make suggestions for music, talk about music in general, or post whatever you're deciding to listen to at any given point in time! :D

For starts, I've had several songs stuck in my head (but being a music major it's kind of hard not to have multiple songs stuck in your head at any point in time)
But here's a few songs that are stuck in my head.

    Cardiac Arrest by Bad Suns
    Flying Whales by Gojira
    Sleeping Awake by P.O.D.

And Hip to be Square by Huey Lewis and The News

So for all you music fanatics out there, lets hear your suggestions :D

I might be speaking to the wrong crowd, but I've been on a K-Pop binge for a few years now. I don't mean to be hipster but I was listening to "Gangnam Style" before it was popular.

But right now my favorite group is AOA. Here's a few of my favorites. Oh, and you definitely have to watch the videos to fully appreciate the music.

Personally I prefer the J-Pop crowd, still some fun stuff regardless.

That's definitely not JPop, and by that I mean it's actually good. JRap? or JElectronica?

JPop are things more along the lines of Kyary Pamyu Pamyu, AKB48 (and all the iterations of letter/number combinations), Perfume, Exile, SMAP, etc. It's all either boy bands or cutesy girl music. The crap I hear everyday from my students in Japan.

I prefer KPop because it's more hip hop influenced rather than cutesy, but there's definitely some great Japanese music gems hidden in there.

Speaking of Japanese music that I've found while living there.

Yeah, I listened to all of them, just saying that I've never heard of them before.
Oh and since were on the topic and I have so few people to talk music with since friends back home don't like this stuff.

I blame Boardwalk Empire, but I am waaayy into Swing-y music lately. Squirrel Nut Zippers, Tape Five, Diablo Swing, Big Bad Voodoo Daddy... modern or old-fashioned, laced with metal or klezmer or electronic, the whole gammut.

Three words. Miracle Of Sound. Also known as Gavin Dunne on Youtube. He makes very good music, from within many genres.

Aah, Gojira! My all time favourite metal band. The first time I got to see them live was one of the top concert experiences I've had.

Don't miss out on them when you get the chance! Prepare for a sore neck though.
