Yeah, that's why one is enough for tonight. This one was also a bit pricey but after tasting it I can safely say it was worth it all.
What's the name of your personal favourite?

 

It's friday, friday... Opening up a big one.

 

Sierra Nevada makes great beer, there's no denying that.

 

(It contains lemon and ginger tea, with a spoonful of honey added)

 

A clear winner in my book.

 

I just wondered if anyone has tried this:

If you like root beer, you are sure to like this! I would love to make an ice cream float with this.
Tastes like a very rich and thick root beer, with the obvious undertones of ale. Very refreshing!

Oh, and it sort of sneaks up on you, after the second or third bottle.

 

Oof, I'd love some.

 

Sadly don't have a pic, but currently have some rum and Dr. Pepper...yes

 

I just realized how well the label and the print on the glass match each other.

I had Fuller's 2015 vintage ale today, and took some pics, maybe I'll post!

Alrighty, I went to a beer tasting last week. Here are my reviews. I'll include the basic info, and how I personally rated them. These are in the order I tried them.

WITTERKERKE WINTER WIT - 7.5% ABV Witbier by De Brabandere in Belgium
I liked this one. Nothing special, but it was pretty good, and I could actually see myself sitting down and ordering a couple of these. The taste was pretty average, leaning a bit toward the lighter side.
1ST PLACE

SCOTCH DE SILLY - 8.0% ABV Scotch Ale by Brasserie de Silly S.A. in Belgium
I didn't like this one. I think it might have gone bad, or not been refrigerated correctly, because it tasted off. A bit skunky too.
5TH PLACE

STELLAR IPA - 6.0% ABV American IPA by North Coast Brewing Co. in California
This was supposed to taste like pear, but it tastes like straight grapefruit juice. This one was pretty alright, being lighter and fruity.
4TH PLACE

LIQUID BLISS - 6.1% ABV American Porter by Terrapin Beer Company in Georgia
This is a peanut beer. The smell was AMAZING. It's like sticking your face in a peanut butter sandwich. I want a candle that smells like this beer. However, the taste is closer to burned peanuts. The alcohol flavor was also a bit too prominent. It was good, but not where I would've taken a peanut beer if I was making it. It'd be better a bit sweeter IMO.
3RD PLACE

WINTER SOLSTICE - 6.9% ABV Winter Warmer by Anderson Valley Brewing Company in California
This was good, similar to the first beer, but a bit stronger flavor. Flavor of a lot of the baking spices.
2ND PLACE

OLD RUFFIAN BARLEY WINE - 10.2% ABV American Barleywine by Great Divide Brewing Company in Colorado
Didn't like this. Tasted like someone mixed beer and rubbing alcohol.
6TH PLACE

QUAD - 11.8% ABV Quad by Weyerbacher Brewing Co. in Pennsylvania
Dear lord this was nasty. It smelled deceptively tame, but when you first take a sip, you get punched in the face with the flavor of cough syrup, which immediately sends you over a rollercoaster drop into an ever-increasing bitterness flavor. The only good thing I can say about it is how successfully the nastiness disguises the alcohol flavor. In all seriousness, if someone handed this to me without any context, I'd think I'd just been either drugged or pranked.
7TH PLACE

 

Lucky! I had a 2007 bottle of Thomas Hardy about 4 months ago...man oh man it was great, I kept it for two years plus and was gonna split it with the ex on our 3rd but that never came to fruition.

You're probably sitting on liquid heaven!

Okay, so I had this. This is amazing. This will get you in trouble just like a long island ice tea. :3

I've also tried the Coney Island Root Beer, which had a slight hint more of vanilla, and a stronger alcohol taste. Also a very good choice.
